I know it may sound crazy to some, Oscar fighting a true 154 lber, a dangerous one at that. Personally I feel Oscar would recieve the beatdown of a lifetime. My assesment is based logically on their most recent perfomances

So what are your thoughts and predictions?:think

Oscar has never really been on the end of a beating, he should walk away with a UD here

This fight will not get made for the same reasons that Margarito-DLH will never get made. Oscar is looking for an opponent he actually thinks he can beat at age 36. What we are hoping is that Father Time rears his ugly head and ruins Oscar's Grand Finale.

No reason 37 percent should believe Santos wins this. People just pick anyone to beat Oscar on pure hate I remember the old Oscar is ducking Kassim Ouma cause he knows he will get beat **** although Ouma was just a solid belt holder PROMOTED by Oscar.

An old boxer versus an agressive, dangerus and hungry younger one. Not one chance for De la hoya, so he won't fight Santos.

Santos no doubt in my mind. DLH is so bad on his feet at this point in his career...His legs are gone and he would need to move decently against an active fighter like Santos. DLH isn't anything what he used to be, if he was...then he'd win but this isn't the DLH of old...This is an old DLH and he'd get beat plain and simple. UD Santos.

Santos - easy. Oscar is a faded entity.

co-sign......for anyone to think that the current Oscar would beat Santos is absurd.

Is Santos really any younger than Oscar? I thought he was in his mid-30's.

That said, DLH doesn't have enough left in the tank to beat a big, hard-punching active fighter, which is also why he'll never fight Margarito. If you're going to lose in your farewell fight, might as well lose to a P4P guy like Pac/Hatton/Mayweather rather than to some no-name with a bunch of losses on his record.

Then again, DLH beat the crap out of Mayorga not that long ago, and Santos isn't that big of a step up over Mayorga, so I can see where people would think that DLH wins this.

I pick Santos by decision. When he's properly motivated, he's an excellent fighter. Don't get me wrong so is Oscar, but looking how ineffective Oscar was against Sturm -a bigger man who can take Oscar's best punches, with good footwork, and an active jab- I see much the same result against Santos who's a big JMW.

Jimmie, DLH struggled with no power 160lb Felix Sturm.

At jr.middle Santos is actually 165-170lbs. He has the same cautious approach as Sturm but with power and a southpaw stance.

This fight would be ****. Pure and simple. Santos is no ****ing Mayorga clown. He is there to win.
