I don't entirely disagree but without a belt he would more than likely have to base himself overseas, like say Katsidis did. Im not sure anyone worthwhile overseas would want to fight him right now and Im not sure he would be prepared to up and leave with his family etc without assurances. He could work towards another interim or vacant belt at home then more opportunities open up to go overseas.
That's a fair comment. Geale certainly shouldn't be looking at fighting anyone of a lesser standard than Sam Soliman though.
What's wrong with Sam? Sure, Geale can be looking for even better international fighters, but that's gonna be a lot harder to land. Sammy wouldn't be bad at all for Geale right now, though Sakio would be even better. Oh, and of course we bag Mandy, as it's him who should be fighting Geale. :deal
Looks like Daniel is after an IBF title shot and Winky or a pom called Macklin will be his next fight. http://www.themercury.com.au/article/2010/01/24/123715_sport-news.html heres hoping.
Should be easier for Geale to get bigger name fights. He knows he's not a big fish in any size pond and would be seen by most champs as low risk low reward. I think he should go guns blazing at Sturm. If Geale let his hands go a little bit more he could easily get a pts win over Felix.
Geale has a heart beat and while the German version of Mundine continually wastes his title I cant see this happening.
Sturm is basically unbeatable in Germany if you can't stop him, and they have enough money to win any purse bids that may happen
I agree. Geale is a decent boxer but i think some people on here seriously overrate him. Imo Sturm would beat Geale in Australia or Germany.
Must admit when i posted that I was thinking Geale has nor the money or the prestige of tempting Sturm but that didnt exactly bother him lately especially against that Japanese bloke!
