Good fight this…always loved a British title fight, will add an Italian title fight to the list!

Cavallucci actually looking to regain the national championship - it was his before he dropped it to Loriga via MD in 2019.

Esposito with some impressive bombs in the fourth, landing crisp crosses and hooks - and Cavallucci showing impressive chin (only ever been stopped once, in his fifth pro bout)

38-38 but momentum firmly with the titlist.

The shots are connecting so clearly that I'm starting to wonder if that's a too good chin, or a complete lack of power.

    Good fight, though.

Well neither is packing TNT. Esposito has five stoppages in 14 tries and Cavallucci just four in 17.

But don't tell either of these guys - they are sure taking home run swings with a load of self-belief. :mgwhore:

Another momentum shift as Esposito has begun to gas in the second half... torrid pace set by Cavallucci, who is getting his second wind and undeterred by the huge counters Esposito is feeding him now and then.

Curious that Cavallucci has stuck with the constant switch-hitting this deep into a very tough fight. Not that he isn't having moments of quality as southpaw, just...you'd think with it being so close and hanging in the balance your trainer would prefer you to find a groove and settle in rather than have the distraction of changing multiples times a round.

Esposito came back and countered well off the ropes in the 8th. Fight hangs in the balance, I think, in the last two rounds.

the fight is awesome, and no doubt they are both there to win. But, with cavalluci's (lack of) defense it's obvious that his career is not going to be very long. I'd refuse to train a fighter like that, dude, "I train boxers not punching bags" that's what I'd tell him.

Esposito turning over some textbook left hooks, on the button, and Cavallucci just shrugging like "oops. I should probably not be letting you do that, eh?" but not the least bit hurt even though Esposito is putting his full body weight into them.

Esposito decides to turn it into a gentlemanly boxing match in the 9th, of what had previously been a breathless war. :sisi1

Cavalucci walking through a lot of clean shots, but still shipping them and losing the ninth as a result.

It's quite possible that his trainer is shitting on everything because he's doing whatever.

It does no look like a pre-made plan at all. It looks like a fighter ignoring his trainer and doing whatever.

He's directly refusing to defend himself.

And if his trainer told him to do so, well, I dont want to know who his trainer is then.

Obviously, as everytime one of both fighters refuses to put effort on his defense and puts 100% of his energy on attacking, the fight has been awesome.
