40 and still a damn work horse, gotta love Boom-Boom.

 

Patera was eleven years old when Boschiero turned pro. His bocconcini likely hadn't dropped yet.

Boschiero applying nagging pressure, swarming Patera into the ropes and hooking away, putting on earmuffs in between salvos - but Patera is able to use his rangy legs to math-compass around Boschiero in the middle of the ring and take aim with descending beer-luge right hands and lean-aside left hooks. Cut opened on Boschiero's eye, could be a factor.

Damn shame. :

 

To be clear, not saying it should have gone on. I mean damn shame the cut happened in the first place. Was shaping up to be a nice fight, that aside.

 

Gonna be honest, I don't give one quarter of a rat's left ass cheek about Smith vs. Fowler (don't much like Fowler or any of the Smith brothers), and was dismayed to see that it was the ONLY significant card worldwide next Saturday besides the Fury vs. Wilder III PPV.

Hell, it doesn't even rate as the most interesting bout on its own card. I'll maybe watch Cheeseman vs. Williamson and then call it a day.

 

Lloyd and Barker bring up Metcalf vs. Conway, another 154lb domestic dustup that's far more appealing than Beefy and the Machine.

 

Speaking of Barker...crazy that Dazzla has been retired for eight years and isn't even 40 yet. (he mentioned in the aftermatch of the previous fight, regarding Boschiero, "when you're damaged like that, and you're 40...not that I would even know, but I'm close ")

Really a case of somebody that knew exactly when to get out.

 

TKO3. He closed Boschiero's eye up completely with cuts & swelling, ruled from punches.
