Scardina Is skilled but he does not convince me. His defence looks poor.

    Berlanga KO3

I dont think that scardina's defense is poor. I think the other way around, doberstain is talented at opening good defences.

I see scardina as a very orthodox fighter, in the sense of fighting by the book and being diciplined in his boxing. That's always a good thing. I dont see any special talent in him, though. But I never saw any special talent in cotto apart from being incredibly disciplined in his boxing and a good left hook, and he proved to me that you can go a long long long loooong way only with that.

Ranking the card's winners' performances from most to least impressive:

    1. Sandy Ryan KO4 Aleksandra Vujović. Put on a body-punching clinic and closed the show, only a fight removed from her pro debut.
    2. Reshat Mati UD8 Vladyslav Baranov. Punch-perfect showing against a game and tricky opponent who was there to survive, only thing you could have asked for is a stoppage but Baranov did his best to be uncooperative.
    3. Daniele Marco Scardina TKO4 Jürgen Doberstein. I didn't think he started quite as poorly as Hearn thought (Fast Car Eddie gave Doberstein the first three rounds and said the fourth "could have gone to him as well") but he took a little while to get into his comfort zone. When he did, he was able to break down his man and make him blow himself up throwing desperate toothless counters. Showed power and poise, things we already knew he possessed, but no real additional dimensions as he will need to when stepping up.
    4. Nicholas Esposito UD10 Emanuele Cavallucci. The reigning Italian welterweight champion defended in a war of attrition where defense was thrown out the window, landing cleaner and better shots (if not always more of them) than his much taller, akward, switch-hitting foe.
    5. Francesco Patera TKO3 Devis Boschiero. This one kind of went nowhere, as they split the first two rounds and it then ended on the anticlimax of Patera having caused some cuts and swelling on Boschiero with punches.
    6. Vincenzo La Femina vs. RTD5 Oleksandr Youriévitch Egorov. For a one-sided wailing it seemed to drag on forever. VLF's defense continues to be a concern.
    7. Samuel Chjoke Nmomah TKO4 Craig O'Brien. Very premature stoppage, before which O'Brien (prior to getting hurt) seemed en route to exposing Nmomah.

Good fighter but not a killer. Easy job for Berlanga if they fought. We'll see

Well, it turns out Berlanga has Marcelo Esteban Cóceres problems...facing the Argentine next for the vacant NABO title in a couple of weeks. I don't outright favor Cóceres but he will continue to ask questions of Berlanga like Nicholson began to do.

Also, not for nothing, I quite liked the team of Chris Lloyd and Darren Barker on commentary. Not sure why they're relegated to B-team status behind Nick Halling and Alex Arthur.

For anyone that missed it, the highest replay value and most fun to watch even knowing the result is almost definitely Esposito vs. Cavallucci - watch out for it on YouTube, but currently this is the only scrap of footage available:

(pretty exemplary of what more or less all ten rounds were like)
