Headlining a Matchroom card on DAZN at the Allianz Cloud Arena in Milan on Friday. The vacant WBO intercontinental super middleweight title will be on the line.

Scardina, looking shaky against César Núñez Prado in February but ultimately closing the show to capture the vacant EBU-European Union title, will be looking to crack into the WBO top 15 rankings by collecting this bauble, to go along with his current #13 & #15 spots in the IBF & WBA respectively. Doberstein has challenged for this same title before, dropping a MD to Haxhi (Robin) Krasniqi back in 2016. In his last important bout he was kayoed in seven by a fellow Jürgen - southpaw former world champion Brähmer - for the IBF's version of the SMW intercontinental belt.

I think old man Brähmer ate his soul and cracked his (once durable*) chin.

*the one thing the altogether average Doberstein really had going for him...and now he is in with another average guy whose standout 'if nothing else' trait is...KO power.
