Funny, I totally forgot about this guy for months, this morning though he randomly came up in my head and this thread gets bumped as well, seems almost too coincidental. :D

Didn't know he turned pro, watched his debut fight. Very, very impressive. Great accuracy, handspeed. footwork, defense. Pretty much the whole package.. Probably the most excited I've been in an EE prospect in a while. Shame he's a bit old now.

Ah but Kazakhstan is a transcontinental country! Don't you know, so I still can be technically correct. Either way, you know what I meant. Soviet bloc guys.

Scientifically, it isn't, as there is no such thing as the continent of Europe Geologically. Europe hasn't been part of a seperate continent since before Pangea. So say former Soviet Bloc guy.

Well "continent" is a loose and not clearly defined term more whose basis is not only just pure science. It's really a mixture of cultural, geographical, and geological factors and there's no real "correct" way to do it.

Either way, of course Kazakhstan is not Eastern Europe, I was pulling your leg there.

It's already a bit surreal that an Olympic gold medalist from Kazakhstan is fighting in the York Hall, but on a Wednesday, too?

Yeleussinov has quality skills, but he really lacks power.

Compare Yeleussinovs' fight with Zoltan Szabo ( he won on points, went the full 6 rounds) to Georgi Chelokhsaevs' (whos a weight lower) fight with Szabo. And you can see the difference. Chelokhsaev has real power ( a good prospect himself, under the radar) and just battered him and knocked him out in 1 round.

What the hell is the hold up? He hasn't fought since 2021. He was on quite a roll... he's wasting his prime.:ohno

Didn't he retire due to not being able to land any meaningful fights?

Finally after a damn near 3 year layoff Daniyar is making his long awaited return on September 28th in Kazakhstan, to face Joe Noynay, who recently went 5 with Japanese killing machine Jin Sasaki.
