    Round 1 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 2 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 3 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 4 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 5 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 6 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 7 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 8 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 9 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 10 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 11 Benavidez 10-9
    Round 12 Gavril 10-9

Ronald came out like a man possessed and landed several hurtful right hands, but he could drop him this time, but he tried like hell. David kept it close with his jab alone.

    119-109 Benavidez

    118-110 is fine as well.

Gavrils best round! Avoids the shutout just barely. Brilliant performance from Benavidez and amazing testicular fortitude shown by Gavril.

I think Benavidez lacks a gear I previously was led to believe he had. Limits his ceiling in my opinion, anyway.

He performed exactly the way Zurdo did when he stepped up in class a few years ago... usually winning very dominant decisions where he suddenly lacked the power he once "had" and having the occasional uncomfortably close contests with inferior competition.

What is Gavril even attempting in the final round here? Trying just hard enough to leave a strong impression but not secure himself a come from behind KO? What's the point of throwing hard punches in bunches and being that aggressive but only in spurts? If he wanted to sell out and land some haymakers to either reverse the inevitable or get taken out swinging, that would be one thing, but he put in like 65% there. I don't get what that accomplishes.

Would never happen... But Gavril vs. Eubank Jr. would be awesome.

He's got a great chin, but so have most of the guys Zurdo has been beating on for a few years now, the likes of an ancient Abraham and what not. Tough guys.

It's just my opinion, like I said, but I feel like he lacks the ability to step it into that uppermost gear that I once believed he possessed. He's still young, so who knows, but that's a ceiling he appeared to hit in his last two fights.
