Both guys had an opportunity to make a minimum of 4 million dollars (5 if they really wanted the fight and came to the negotiations table) against Pac. Both guys would have been schooled (11-1 to 10-2 range) or maybe even stopped, but it would be against a living ATG, so no shame there. Instead, Danny lost his 0 and his entire marketability and is now making appearances at Dunkin Donuts. Broner, who will probably make around 1 million for his fight against Mikey, is gonna get brutally stopped. Feel bad for Danny, but AB got it coming and I already ordered my case of Kleenex from Amazon.
They made the right decision. Danny is too slow to trouble PAC even now. Broner has good hand speed, but doesn't have the discipline or skill to beat PAC.
Like I said... Danny and Broner would be able to recover from a loss to Pac. And the money would have been worth the loss. Since losing to Keith, Danny's become irrelevant. And Broner will become completely irrelevant after Mikey drills him into the canvas.
Not the biggest DSG fan but I would hardly call him irrelevant. It was a competitive loss to a top-tier fighter, it's boxing it happens to guys who have enough balls to fight the best. Danny got his balls back so he deserves respect. He's got another big fight in him,
Win, lose, or draw the result of fighting an ATG will only boost ones image as longas they put in a good showing.
Have you been following Danny? He's making public appearances at Dunkin Donuts. Such a gig wouldn't land him more than 2K-3K, I don't think. Danny was routinely a topic of discussion when his 0 was intact.
How much did Jesse Vargas get for the Pacquiao fight? $2 million? I would feel super disrespect that my own promoter would pay the competition more than his own fighter. $4 million is good but did it include PPV %? If not then maybe they ****ed up. If it did include a cut then they totally ****ed up.
4 million for Pac and 2 million for Vargas. Pac's 4 million guarantee comes with back end money (PPV sales, television broadcast money, international markets, ticket sales, etc.). Vargas, despite being Mexican, is nowhere as marketable as Broner and Garcia. He's simply lower profile.
Dunkin Donuts is awesome man haven't you ever tried it, Don't need a O to be a good fighter, i've been following boxing long long long before Floyd Mayweather
