Danny Garcia and low blows

Every time Danny threw his hook, Matthysse tried to grab his head and push it down with his left arm.

 

It was rough fight. Matthysse should've gone low in retaliation. Sounds terrible but that's what I would do.

 

are you crazy?? have you seen the fight again? the crazy **** is my house is for argentina and the house we went to see the fight was full of argentinians boxing friends...non of them came with these pathetic excuses. they all saw garcia win.

Nobody can criticize Weeks or Danny. You can't just warn one guy for punching low when his head is being held. Weeks is more than a competent ref. Petersons complaints fell on deaf ears when he said Matthysse fought dirty by rabbit punching him. Matthysse never gave any excuses. So wtf would I listen to a cry baby armchair?

Boxing is a violent sport and sometimes you walk the line.

All I know is if you want to stop the low blows from someone then you do it back. That's what they teach you in tough gyms.

 

I'm not giving any excuses, the hell is wrong with you?. I'm just stating the obvious and I was one of few that have been saying Garcia will win ever since the fight was signed. While some low blows came after Garcia was shoved down, many others didn't. That's what I'm saying based on what I saw during the actual fight and I'm a Garcia fan.

I have also boxed more than a few rounds that i would have liked, and it DOES NOT matter if you make direct contact with the sack or not, hitting the side of the legs with a powershot will still hurt. There are multiple youtube videos outthere as well from trainers who trains to use these techniques. (youtube is blocked from my company so I cannot access it). Thus they have the belt line to keep the punches up.

 

So you boxed a few rounds, what did your trainers coach you to do if you get hit below the belt multiple times with the ref not stepping in?


If your a fighter, your trainer shouldn't have to tell you ****, you hit him back.

 

Not at all i was rooting for danny. He did a great ****ing job of owning matthyse. He made it ruff can take punches. whats not to like. Best way is still the tyson way. Nothing like loosing half your ear to stop headbutting

Yep and hitting after the bell. Lucas is dirty...ask Peterson. Hey Lucas, unlike Mike Dallas, Danny did not fight u on 2 weeks notice and Danny hits hard and has a better chin than you do. Danny had Lucas submit in the 11th...

 

You're soft.

 

It is full of guys who live through these fighters and NEED their fighters to win so they can feel good about themselves. Their need is so desperate, that they will NEVER accept a CLEAR UD. Instead, they will make excuses for borderline shots to the belt. They will also pretend not to see the rabbit punches by Matthysse all night.

Anyone that watched this fight, and could not see how Garcia was winning with the cleaner shots, and the combos that made Matthysse freeze up, are in denial.

Even Paulie knew going into the 11th it was a CLEAR win for Garcia.


Lucas knows it too... Look at his body language. At one point, Danny smashed him so hard, you see him reach up and rub his head... Kinda like when Cotto clocked Mayorga in the jaw, and Mayorga felt it in his hand.

Danny can crack and Matthysse was hesitant because he knew Danny can take his shots and Danny fires back bombs of his own.

Danny is the better all around fighter.

Give it up to Breadman who said, "The power advantage goes to the fighter that can handle his opponents shots better." Danny took Mathysse's shots better than Mathysse took Danny's. There in lies the advantage.
