Corrales fought with 2 eyes closed againts castillo in the first fight...and he won like a champion.

so if castillo wouldnt have close chicos 2 eyes he would have knock out him in 5 rounds? man thats b.s this is boxing and you get your face hit.

Bottom line: Garcia is the more solid/skilled fighter and the people claiming that Lucas was winning are kidding themselves.

The knockdown was legit. Lucas was not "tangled" in ANY ropes... he was leaning on them because Garcia took his rocked him with a vicious right hand to the body before he went to the ropes and caught 2-3 more shots. What Lucas did was buy himself an 8-count because he knew he was in trouble. Had Lucas NOT taken that break, his night could have ended right there. Danny was on his ass tagging him and he had NO response but to drop and wait for the referee to come save him.

Don't try and rewrite history... because if you wanna talk about who hurt who, Lucas was buzzed a few times...one time even falling forward and clinching Danny... You can hype up a mouthpiece flying into the seats... but the fact remains, Danny was not even buzzed by that shot. Look at is legs...look at how steady he was as he walked to his corner for mouthpiece... You kids have to stop making shet up about Lucas would have won had his eye not been punched to shet by the better fighter....

114 - 112 (shoulda really been 114 - 113 because of a BS knockdown) on two judges scorecards and 90% of the press row's scorecards don't qualify as a "ass beating", Garcia deserves nothing but props for his performance I said that, he executed his game plan brilliantly but you guys talking like Garcia dominated him like Floyd did to Canelo are talking outta your arses.

If not a rematch who would you like to see Garcia fight next? Mayweather ?

I'd much rather see Garcia-Matthysse going to war again than watching Mayweather easily beating Garcia.

Damaged hand and broken orbital bone and to still fight hard and make it close definitely warrants a rematch.

 

Why you getting so testy saying you don't wanna see a rematch ? if he "beat his ass" then why wouldn't you wanna see him do it again, noticed a lot of Garcia fans dismissing ideas of a rematch.

 

you don't have to KO your opponent to win fights... nor do you have to "buzz" your opponents to win the fight... as long as you keep landing your shots and have the better work rate you can still win... believe me even if lucas' punches weren't staggering garcia they weren't feeling nice either.. danny is a human too.

the truth is it is definitely a POSSIBILITY that lucas WOULD have won considering he lost on 2 scorecards by 114-112 despite only fighting with 1 eye for 6 rounds... now don't come back by saying well who caused that eye blah blah... that's all good i'm not arguing that, that's exactly why danny won and nor am i disputing otherwise.... he caused that eye to go bad and took advantage of it = boxing.... props to garcia.... but i'm just responding to your statement

danny beat lucas fair and square in my eyes... he deserves the respect .... but there is nothing wrong with peoples' opinions that lucas could have won if his eye wasn't fkd up... it's not like it is guaranteed that garcia will always win against lucas 10 times out of 10

it's just like julio ceasr chavez vs meldrick taylor 1.... YES, taylor would have won had he not been knocked don in round 12...

 

That KD was legit as any. He went to the body, turned Lucas towards the rope and hit him with a shot upstairs.

Alvarado got knocked out by Rios in their first fight, did he deserve a rematch after getting stopped more than Lucas does after a close fight with Garcia ? No he didn't. But he got the rematch and won.

 

You don't know **** how to score a fight if you don't think that fight was close, the right man won I'm not disputing that, but calling it a "one sided beatdown" is just daft, which you clearly are.

agreed with you... calling this a one sided affair is mind boggling... it was a close fight where Danny edged in front via KD... the main event was one sided for sure... there is a daylight of difference between that fight and the co-main event
