Garcia fought a smart fight, good luck to him, but the referee had a bad night he should have penalised Garcia for multiple low blows much earlier.You notice when Alvarez hit Mayweather on the thigh Floyd made a big deal out of it ,prompting the referee to have a word with the Mexican.If Matthyse had reacted more strongly to the low blows he might have got Weeks into gear and had him giving warnings earlier .Weeks warned Matthyse for using his head yet only warned Garcia once prior to taking a point in the last round ,when it was far too late to make a difference .
GGG is a lot quicker getting into range that Matthyse , I think he stops Garcia.

Garcia fought hard to beat Lucas, good win for Garcia, Lucas fought well too, but Garcia closed his right eye, so that's a good one for Garcia, and both have good chins damn that punch by lucas dropped garcia's mouthpiece, surprise he didn't get KD, cheers for both great fighters :happy :good

Watched the fight again last night, The fight was highly competitive and after 8 rounds I had it even, two evenly matched warriors going hammer and tong, however when the eye injury occured Lucas' game plan went out of the window, he spent the last 4 rounds looking for one big shot whilst Garcia was picking and placing his shots better.

The KD was pretty BS but the right man won, Matthysse reportedly damaged his right hand early on in the fight, so a busted hand and a swollen eye and to still make it a close fight prompt the question "what if?"

Great fight from both guys, iron chins and both showed the heart of a lion.
