Danny Garcia is a cherry, but Provodnikov can beat on an old legend??

Interesting I could see the Herrea vs Garcia fight going either way depending on your perspective however I thought Algeiri did a fine job making Provo look like a plodding Neanderthal.....still a spirited effort at effective aggression on Provos part.

 

Double standards for boxing fans are unavoidable, it seems...

But yes, Provodnikov isn't getting a shred of the backlash from fans that others who have fought similarly hopeless opponents get.

 

This is an absolutely disgusting fight. The only way it's slightly understandable is because the shot to **** Corley who was dragged over for Provodnikov's last Russian showcase evidently wasn't shot enough, so they needed to make an even more atrocious mismatch for his return fight. Provodnikov and especially his team should be all be ashamed.

Of course this is a total disgrace of a fight. I was a fan of Provodnikov before. But this fight is making me sick to my stomach. Why even do this?

 

I'm willing to give Provodnikov the benefit of the doubt because I don't believe he's ever turned down a fight that's been offered to him, regardless of the stylistic mismatch or ease. I'm not sure he even knows who Castillo is or how far gone he is.

His team that was responsible for making this fight, however, ought to go outside with paper bags over their heads to hide their faces.

It's a disgraceful, indefensible fight, and there's nothing good that can come of it for anyone. I almost hope JCC goes down at the first sign of trouble to save himself the punishment- i know he needs the payday, but this fight is wrong.
