and he has world class skill. But like a lot of the good fighters, he lacks a straight right hand. He has everything else you need as a fighter, but tonight DSW lost. Petersons body attack took a lot out of Danny. Danny's punches lost steam around the 10th round. LP looked huge in there. Danny best bet is to go to 147. He might be too small, but staying at 140-143 won't help him. He has enough skill to compete with those guys. He looked weak in the latter rounds, and he never looks that way. He will feel better at 147, but he will give up height and reach. With that said, I had Peterson winning 6-5 with one even. Had LP fought more flat footed early, he'd have clearly won, But...do I have the right to say that? It seemed like LP's game plan was to tire and frustrate Danny early to get him reaching early which he did, and stalk him late. Excellent game plan by his trainer. Danny has one hell of a chin. Peterson looked like the WW tonight. Peterson's inside game is underrated, but against punchers or guys with speed, he holds his hands too close. But against Danny, he was perfect.
you stupid clown are you fuking blind? I know your kind so Im just going to say this danny garcia is lucky to be one of al gaymon's favorite hoes.
Decent post. I agree he's a world class 140 lber. Don't think he'll be a world class WW. Also I disagree, danny is starting to show a pattern of fading in fights. I even thought he was fading in the first Morales fight but his power bailed him out. I actually think he deserved the decision but if I had to pick who I'd rather see again it'd be Peterson. He's got world class skills....just does not have the chin or power to back it up.
It's hard to say that if Peterson had fought going forward the whole fight that he would of won because Danny is still pretty strong early on, has quick counters, strong hands and could of stunned LP early so I understand why LP fought using movement like he did. That being said however, I do feel LP won this fight and made Danny miss lots early on and capitalized in late rounds as Danny faded
