Final message before heading to bed, don't let the Tijuana fight mislead you about "Dani". While Tijuana needs to retire, he's one of the smartest boxers in recent years.

An unfortunate assesment on a fighter that utilizes patience and methodical attacks to out point and if given the chance stop his opposition. I'd agree Garcia does nothing out of the ordinary but he understands the science of the sport and has what appears to be the sort of intangibles that make champions....heart, chin, determination and love for the sport.

i think JMM would tear Garcia up @ this stage. two different classes right now.

i agree with on the Rios fight. Garcia-Matthysse is a toss up. i think it will come down to whos tougher mentally and whos chin holds up. a good fight tho.

Garcia vs Matthysse would be an absolute barn burner :!: both boys tend to load up and throw bombs with mal-intent. :yep

It wasn't a lucky punch, those are the natural mechanics that occur in boxing time and time again. If you look over Garcia's style you know he is actually a counterpuncher that keeps his feet planted when you come at him, the perfect counter to the 2 punches that Khan threw, a left hook and a right uppercut is exactly what Garcia did, which was basically a right hand parry on the left hook followed by a left hook around Khan's right uppercut. Garcia generally slipped the left hook and fired off his own left hook, Garcia's head placement (he was closing his eyes and moving his head off to his right because he knew a right uppercut was coming) tells you that it wasn't lucky. Boxers land punches like this ALL the time with their eyes closed because landing punches for them is kind of like riding a bike mechanically. It was a thing that he felt with his body and he threw the left hook to absolute perfection. Theres actually no luck about it, whether he had his eyes open or not has nothing to do with it. If you look at Garcia's body mechanics, he pulled an absolute perfect counter on Khans 2 shot combo. Go back to school son! :deal:deal:deal

i cant wait to fade this guy as his value is at an all-time high.

this is still the same guy that struggled against a shot, overweight and just-out-of the-hospital eric morales.

agreed. garcia is tough(kd after morales broke his nose) but so slow. classic **** when morales was mocking him.

he caught khan, who has very suspect punch-resistance, with one shot and now everyone thinks hes the next felix trinindad.

    ****ing esb forums.
