Danny Garcia is the luckiest fighter ever!

Garcia is a very big 140 even bigger than khan the guys a solid great fighter credit where it's due.But I personally feel he's a middleweight whos able to boil down to 140 and remain strong and that's half the battle won he's just so much bigger than the other guys on fight night.

He looked huge in there compared to Matthysse.Even so I am a fan of Garcia he is a humble kid and I'm one of the few to like Angel Garcia and like hearing what he has to say.but the whole Garcia thing just makes me want to open up the whole same day weigh ins for fights so we don't end up with one guy much bigger than the other.

 

What fight did y'all see because what I saw a close competive fight and that's with Matthysse only having one eye !!!

 

He was 150 ish on fight night so was Matthysse. I don't know his stats but most of the 140 guys rehydrate to 150. Mayweather was 150 for a 152 fight. Most of the 147 guys go up to 160 on fight night. Danny is about right size for 140 and could move to 147 but maynot take his power with him.

It was fairly close and relatively competitive. I mentioned some time ago the difference here would be the layered dynamic that Garcia brings, he has shown he can adjust properly while Lucas tends to trust his power and aggression a bit to much. There where several other nuances I noticed that told me Danny would separate himself down the stretch and they came to fruition. If you where to create a video game player profile of each guy Lucas would have the large standout rates in the 90's but have several areas where he rates somewhere in the 60's and low 70's while Danny would have a more balanced board with everything hitting the mid 80's and power possibly reaching 90/93.

Dannys power is ok but you have to remember Lucas has had the same problem before with his eye being closed in the Harris fight and Harris isn't a hard puncher it happens :deal

He clearly hurt Lucas on more than one occasion I mean you can debate all you'd like but the fact that his eye AND JAW where swollen tells you the connects had an effect and Danny possesses better than average power. Punching power also has a lot to do with timing, speed, accuracy, placement and pure patience.....the eye swelling was calculated and the left hook will always get to its destination before the right hand its written in stone. Lucas will have his day in the sun again but I'd advise him to learn how to fight on the back foot and stop pulling straight back when he misses shorten his punches and commit less when unleashing his right hand if he expects to beat savvy type fighters such as the Zab's the Alexanders and yes dare I say it the Garcias....dont misinterpret savviness with speed they are two different things.
