Khan has looked much better in his last fights but that chin is still suspect.

I give him credit for taking all Maidana landed on his aze:yep
I dont want to open that fight because I think Maidana was fighting Khan and the ref:bart

Anyway, Khan always ends up on q---ueer street dancing in the past but we shall see going forward:smoke

Why has he looked better? One needs to only look at the KO rates of his opponents to see why. Put him in there with Thurman and lets see how much he has improved.

The interviewer put those words in his mouth, but it's hardly a startling revelation.

Was just thinking has khan ever outboxed a puncher without taking punishment(looked good)?

Under Virgil khan has not fought a known puncher yet.

Well he has faced fewer hard punchers and his footwork has improved.

I dont think he want anything to do with One Time :-(or Special K :heybut that is the only way to judge him IMO going forward:smoke

While it's true he hasn't faced any big punchers, he isn't making many of the mistakes that he used to that allowed less gifted fighters to get to him.

He no longer throws stupidly long combinations which allow him to be so easily countered.

He no longer throws himself off balance as much, leaving himself open to be countered and when he does he clinches to smother any counter.

He's learned how to clinch and use clinching to control his opponent and create openings to actually fight inside.

He's finally learned how to counter punch and throw a decent right hand lead.

He's far less predictable and has finally learned to box off the back foot and transition smoothly from offence to defence, where before he was either in full flight or full attack mode.

He's far harder to get to, less exciting but more effective. Of course if a decent puncher lands all the things he has learned could go out of the window, we won't know how he responds until he gets caught and hurt.

He even looked better with roach the only problem was when he was matched up with punchers once he is matched up with a known puncher with virgil then we can see if he has really improved.

Let's see when he fights a good puncher in Thurman or even Brook.

Wasn't he hurt at one point vs collazo? Then he grabbed the ref or something. I can't quite remember.
