Danny Garcia laid the blueprint on how to beat Matthysse, Broner needs to watch film

LM is very good but I fully expect Adrien "The Problem" Broner to beat him.

He honestly has to watch the Ward/Froch fight again and again, he's going to have to pull a Ward here.

Broner arguably has the better boxing ability between himself and Garcia. Not a better chin obviously but that won't be much of a concern if he fights smart and comes in with a gameplan.

Broner's physical strength seems to be very underestimated and if he stands firm and gets into clinches with Matthysse, I believe Matthysse will be the first to tire.

Broner fell in love with his own power at 40/47, he is too used to just walking through everyone with his defensive shell while power punching. He can't be doing that in this fight. Lucas isn't someone you want to exchange with.

Broner also packs somewhat of a whallop in his punches. He had Maidana backpeddling in the later rounds. I fully expect Matthysse to feel the weigh tof his punches. He will not be able to walk through them. :deal

He will be needing to take a similar gameplan to Ward in the Froch fight. Like Froch said, "Ward was far too slick, he was either too close or too far," he can't be letting Lucas dictate the pace of the fight.

In the Garcia fight, we saw one glaring weakness in Matthysse's game. The man's ability to adjust is very lackluster.

Reality: No he didn't!!! He was put on his ass and beat to a pulp

 

I don't like Broner, I think he's a ***. I was rooting on Maidana on fight night.

That said, I still fully expect him to win here. :deal

He just needs to come prepared and fight smart, which he could do.

Maidana was far better than anyone gave him credit for. He troubled Floyd in the earlier rounds and pretty much manhandled Broner

Broner also jumped 2 weight classes... for this fight.... well he had a tuneup for Paulie but that doesn't really count.

Broner will be far better at 140, more power, more speed.

 

Broner fell in love with his power @ 130/135. He needs to realize that it takes more than that to win at 140/147.

I fully expect him to come and fight smart.

Lucas has a wet paper chin.

He won't be needing to fight off the ropes, he can walk Matthysse down if he starts dictating the pace of the fight!

He was taking a vicious beating from Maidana and was never knocked out. He should be able to withstand the onslaught here. :smooch
