    Haa. My thoughts exactly.

People are going to hate on Danny regardless of what he does.

This is a great fight, despite the naysayers. You got the champ at 140 fighting the 3rd best fighter at 140, and the champ already beat the 2nd best fighter at 140....there's not a better fight to make within the division.

Good fight and it's about time.

I see Peterson taking it. I don't think Fanny's gonna be able to KO him just because Matthysse is a beast. And Peterson brings a better pressure game than Herrera.

Danny G is fighting the IBF Champion Lamont Peterson and this is considered cherry picking fighting for a title belt. Damn.

    HATERS GONE HATE:-(

mediocre fights. why is broner fighting a guy coming off two devastating losses? why is danny continuing to avoid a herrera rematch? can't believe the winner of danny vs lamont will be the unified WBA super, WBC, IBF, and ring champ. it's a complete joke. peterson was Knocked out by Lucas in 3 rds

These are the kind of fights that should have happened but Haymon don't like risks

    Matthysse vs Garcia 2
    Matthysse vs Broner
    Garcia vs Herrera 2
    Thurman vs Brook
    Thurman vs Khan

Looking back on it, Peterson doesn't really have a legit big win.

    Loss to Bradley.
Should have lost to Ortiz (lucky to get a draw there if I remember correctly)
    KO'd early by Matthysse.
Close fight vs Khan but ref/judges helped in that case and he was caught on steroids for that fight.

He just isn't that good. His best win was probably over old Holt or Dierry Jean.

Still, it was a logical fight to make and although I'm not a big Garcia fan, it'll be nice to see Peterson title-less.
