Canelo is the best name for Floyd to fight.

if they insisted on canelo being within 7lbs of the weight limit on fight night it`d be a fair one.
imo he should drop the belt and stick to his bodyweight tho.

Yes, but Floyd doesn't have Duran's mindset, or the mindset of other past greats. He's not about challenging himself to prove his greatness. He's about minimizing risk and maximizing reward.

The irony of this situation is Floyd would most likely beat Alvarez if they fought in September though. If I were Floyd, I'd be doing everything I could to get Alvarez in the ring before he got too good and I got too old to win.

Mayweather should sign for the Garcia fight and clown him... simply for those glasses.

Im a big boxing fan, and a huge Floyd fan, I want him to fight Canelo and Pacman more than anything else atm, BUT Canelo gets too big. If they cap his weight on fight night, Im in, which is probably what they are going to do.

Floyd and his camp are the smartest people boxing, they dont try to injure their opponents outside of the ring and they dont try to get injured inside the ring.

The fight should and probably will happen with some stipulations concerning weight, then Canelo will get that boxing lessons he's been needing.

That's quite obvious. Floyd shouldn't be fighting at 154 as he's completely undersized, but the temptation of money couldn't keep him away from Oscar and Cotto... That and the fact that they would still be comparable size on fight night, not 20lbs heavier.

Simple. Have Canelo fight Guerrero and we'll find out.

Duran ate and drank him self out of welter weight Jr middle and finally Middle .. Its also true that Duran was no longer significant after 154.. He beat an inexperience Davey moor and a crude Iran Barkley other then that he lost to a lot of ham and eggers.

Davey Moore was a world champions with 3 defenses under his belt one of them against the underrated Ayub Kalule and after he lost to Duran he went on to beat Wilfred Benitez, and that guy you call crude had two wins over the Great Tommy Hearns and a huge size advantage over Duran and got his ass beat by the great panamanian thats more impressive than anything Mayweather ever did.

his reign at lightweight and those wins against moore, barkley and his performance against hagler are why people rate him so highly on the atg list.

he wasn't supposed to win against moore or barkley and he definitely wasn't supposed to go the distance with hagler who was a beast at the time.
