so, when it was floyd talking about fighting garcia it was ocnsidered a "cherry pick"... now that it's pac talking about the same fight it's a "great matchup." floyd fights a two-time proven champ like maidana twice and it's a "cherry pick." pac fights a woefully unproven algieri and it's "manny is taking on young, hungry undefeated challenger." manny refuses a floyd fight for 5 years because he doesn't want to get tested for PEDs and he's justified because "who is floyd to dictate terms?" Floyd shows no interest in a pac fight at this stage and it's "mayweather is running scared!" the bull**** that permeates this sport never fails to amaze me.
Danny Garcia don't belong in the same ring with Pacquiao. His fight vs Herrera is an example of why I think pacquiao would easily beat Garcia. Garcia got a good hard jab but hes too flat foot and easier to hit which its the style favor of pacquiao. Anybody that is a real boxing fan should know pac vs Garcia would be a mismatch in pac favors. The only fight is better is pacquiao vs mayweather that's it.
But at this stage in Pac's career and seeing how good he looked at 144 really, what more could you ask for if the fight against Mayweather doesn't get made? Garcia is the most sellable and decorated among the 140 champs, and truth be told the most tested. I'd rather see Pac-Garcia than Pac-Vargas tbh. It's just that Pac/Floyd are on a different level, not their fault if the closest competitors would look **** against them.
Not really interested in seeing Pac, or Floyd fight anyone but each other. Aside from that maybe they should step aside so new talent can get some shine if they won't come to an agreement.
Garcia dropped Khan three times and forced a stoppage in the first 1/3 of the fight. Garcia DOMINATED Khan. TKO4.
Garcia would be a legit opponent for Pacquiao because he has a couple great wins and a couple good ones too. I would give anyone 140-147 respect for fighting Garcia, who despite what should have been a loss to Herrera, is the best fighter at 140.
