Danny Garcia responds to people calling him cherry picker

I suppose it isn't too bad as a first fight at 147

 

It would be passable if he wasn't coming off of two questionable decisions at 140. That's what makes this hard to swallow.

 

Garcias career been managed well with a lil luck vs l pete n tons of luck vs herrera cuz he lost that no doubt. Garcias first fight at 147 n he comin off sum iffy performances so fightin sum one like paulie opposed the porters, brook, n thurmans makes sense for paulie. After danny beats paulie i think we will get garcia vs guerrero . Good sell due to trash talkin dads

 

I wouldn't count Paulie out too soon. He's the most feather fisted boxer today and has lasted this long so obviously he knows something about Garcia we don't or else he wouldn't have taken this fight while debating retirement. He is an intelligent fighter and knows how to use his legs. I see him giving Garcia a tricky fight.

 

I dont count Paulie as any good at all at this point.. but I dont really blame Garcia for taking an easy guy as his first fight at a weight.

Dragging the 77th best guy in a division below him was despicable as the 140lb Champ and he deserved every bit of static he got for that fight. Taking an easy fight when you are the one moving up is a different story though.

 

^^^Sensible. People were hot after Salka, and rightfully so. It was a farce, but Peterson was a solid fight. Paulie may, just may, offer some stylistic problems for Garcia.

Garcia has been alternating fortunate wins and light touches for a while though. I'm wondering if there is some concern about his punch resistance. Peterson hurt him, Zab hurt him.

 

Allow the Malinaggi fight. Just know he is entering the lions den he can run but he can't hide for much longer.

I expect him to be in some exciting fights in the near future and will officially take his first L. 147 is going to be too much for him. imo

Respect Danny tho he is a warrior, he'll take another dangerous fight soon

 

I respect DG but he needs to fight one of the big boys at 147 soon.

 

Danny has had only one cherry pick (Salka) but unfortunately it was so blatant it's made it hard for him or anyone else to defend him now.

 

Garcia's real problem is not so much cherrypicking, it's that coming off the great win over Lucas his limitations have somewhat been exposed against solid boxer types and he's now won two very questionable decisions in his last three fights where he looked back, with the farce of the Salka fight sandwiched in-between. If he can't look good against a faded Malignaggi at Welterweight his rep takes a big hit as that would be four not great performances in a row.

 

he has had some good fights , some bad and then some that just simply should not have happened (salka) but taking a stay busy cherry here and there is not the worst thing in the world. people just dislike him because of his old man and want to see him lose, they thought matthyse would hell even i thought he would beat garcia. i was wrong and he got my respect for that, instead you got idiots on here so wrapped up in their hatred for this guy they have never met claiming matthyse was robbed

 

He's a cherry picker yet the only opponent he easily KO'd for the past 3 years is Salka. To be painfully honest, it's literally only Khan fans that hate on Garcia pretty much the same way they hated on Prescott(and some continue to). These idiots will call Garcia a cherry picker while praising Khan's blatant in your face handpicking of opponents with no power.

 

Every fighter has a cherry pick. Garcia has one cherry pick to his name and now he's tagged by the haters.

I dare any of you cretins cricising his record to name me one fighter who hasn't cherry picked an opponent...
