Unfortunately he is referring to the Herrera win. So he's been saying that since then. Which tells me is having a real problem with movement, maybe he didn't expect Lamont to be moving the way he did but still, he should've been prepared for it. Hopefully by now they are bearing down in preparation for movement hence the Paulie fight. I myself am eager to see how this one goes.

I think his dad has taken him as far as he can in terms of his boxing ability. I'm hoping they know what they need to work on and do what's necessary to achieve that. Danny would be good if he knew how to cut off the ring, move his head and defend more.

Exactly how I feel also, I have made the case he either needs to bring in another trainer to help deal with boxing movement or get a new trainer altogether. Only one of those is a realistic option for Danny though, you can't just fire your dad.

Morales and Judah were cherry picks but that's what many fighters coming up need, past it big names to give them 'credible' wins and crossover appeal, sure they ought to win but they're not a breeze. Herrera was a crafty fighter who was underestimated, Salka was just bizarre, Peterson was decent, Malignaggi is a half cherry pick. He's well past having a foe like Malignaggi as a necessity, but obviously his handlers don't think so. He's already fought Morales twice and Judah, what's the point of Malignaggi?
