I don't trust him as he and his team spoken about a lot of fights that haven't come to fruition.

If and when they happen you can serve me up a nice big slice of humble pie but whilst he keeps running his mouth whilst feasting on lower hanging fruit than what he's been promising then I think I'm not being unreasonable in being sceptical of his motives.

i could see that if mikey was hiding in europe somewhere sitting on some belt defending against euro level opponents while calling out the big guns. when was the last time mikey had a throwaway fight?

I think his last 3 fights were pretty underwhelming choices considering the names he threatened to deliver. All 3 were decent but not the kind of opponents we want to see him really test himself against.

a unification fight that forces a loma showdown, a super lightweight title in his first fight ever at 140, and a fight at 144 lbs for his first fight ever above 135.
so that i may get an idea of your grading curve, tell which fighter is living up to his hype and lets compare his last 3 fights with mikeys.

Is this for me? As it wasn't me who put the aforementioned list of fighters name in his mouth. He talked up these blockbuster billings and then gave us regular fights.

And I doubt he's trying to force a Loma showdown. Lomachenko arrogant SOB that he is and upon past actions is clearly up for that work.

yes, its for you. so is loma the guy you want to compare last 3 fights? marriaga and rigo at 130 and linares at 135. in your opinion, these fights are walking the walk while mikey is just talk? am i reading this correctly?

I thought Rigo was a waste of time. It was a p4p fighter who was probably faded and def out of his depth weight wise but he talked his way into the fight and bizarrely people were calling for it. I actually blame us fans for that one.

I guess you could compare that to had Mikey taken on a faded Pac which would of still been seen as a more exciting fight than Broner by most.

Marriaga is stay busy fight and did little for him. Not bad but hardly exciting.

Linares however was indeed a good fight to make and a lot more interesting than Mikey's recent outings IMO. A slick elite level combination puncher who can hang with anyone skill wise I rate Jorge highly and so the win was impressive yes.

Now had Loma spoke about Mikey, Linares, Crawford, Spence, Thurman, Cotto and Pac and then delivered Broner, Easter and Lipinets then I'd call him out on it too.

ok, so now we are changing the narrative. its not that mikey is taking easy fights that are gimmes, its that he talks about bigger fights while collecting lesser belts, keeping busy between chasing mega fights that could take months and months to put together. he went to arum to pursue loma, bud and pac. only loma was put on the table and both camps saying 2019. he went to spence to pursue the fight, spence is undecided whether the porter fight is a better move.
tell me what exactly is mikey doing wrong in this situation.

I think it's you trying to change the narrative here my friend. You're acting like I said he was some sort of can crusher when I said nothing of the sort. I said he's failing to deliver on his - very loudly delivered - promises of any of the big match ups he continually talks up.

You think he's doing everything he can. I don't think he's being ducked and think he sees himself as this Mayweather/RJJ type figure who can fight who he wants because 'he beats them all anyway'.

a unification fight that forces a loma showdown, a super lightweight title in his first fight ever at 140, and a fight at 144 lbs for his first fight ever above 135.

here you tell me mikey looks good because of limited opposition and you want his team to stop answering questions about other fighters because it pisses you off.
and of course, how loma and arum feel or what they say matters little in whether mikey gets what he wants when he wants.
very thought out scenario that has little to do with reality.
p4p top 5 off of picking fruit off the ground. yeah, that makes all the sense in the world.

obviously, by your own admission, better than loma has done last 3 fights, except loma deserves praise because he isnt calling out mikey... the guy who went into his dressing room to ask for the fight, went back to 135 to take the belts loma needs, and has his team hounding top rank for the fight privately and publicly. again, lots of sense.
yes, regular fights, while loma is fighting bantams and the prettiest loser in boxing. and loma just said he didnt want the mikey fight right now because hes playing mind games with mikey.

"mikey is slow and basic", "i dont want the mikey fight right now because of my shoulder injury"- vasiliy lomachenko

    i disagree.

    @bandeedo

As I'm about to go to bed I don't have time right now to go through it all but I will despite the fact you're trying to put a lot of words in my mouth there which I'm not too impressed with.

Lower hanging fruit than what he promised isn't 'fruit off the floor' is it? Come on now, you can state your opinion without resorting to such base tactics surely.

fair enough, but do you really need for me to isolate the lines where you are doing the exact same thing?

Have I accused you of saying something you haven't or tried to mischaracterise it? If I have then highlight it and you'll get an apology.
