this guy is a ****ing idiot, i just exposed him in the other Danny Garcia thread. He made the same points there and then did a runner because he kept digging himself i. A deeper shithole

 

I like Garcia, and for a 26-year-old his resume is very good. He was maybe sold a bit short ahead of the Khan and Matthysse fights and I'll admit I was one of those who was guilty of that.

But it's a styles thing with him and while he deserves to be called the true champion at 140 (even though I personally had Herrera edging him), I do think that in relative terms he's one of the weaker Ring Magazine champions out there. He's solid in most areas without really being spectacular in any and I'd expect him to lose to a really top class cerebral fighter with ring IQ, which he's not really faced yet (although obviously Khan and Matthysse both brought some very good qualities to the table).

I also think he'll struggle against speed. Fair enough, he got the shot against Khan and it wasn't a "lucky punch" as many were calling it, but at the same time he can't rely on finding that big left hook every time he's got someone outspeeding him. From what we saw of that fight, I don't think he could ever outpoint Khan, for instance.

But hey, his record speaks for itself and as things stand you can't be too critical of him right now. I'd expect him to struggle badly if he tried his hand at 147, and even at 140 I'm expecting to see him dethroned sooner or later - but he's proved me wrong before, and if he does it again I won't mind too much as he seems like a decent guy and, the Salka fight aside, has generally shown the right kind of attitude towards taking on the better fighters in his weight class.

Thank you Captain Obvious. Maybe he gets an ass whooping at 147lb, 154 or 160, who knows. Thats any fighter who keeps moving up in weight. eventually it will happen. But for now, wheather or not you like it, he is still the king at 140lb.

Im a fan of Danny's. I hope he cleans out his division and avoids a Lucas rematch.

Nobody is talking about Garcia expect for you. All the talk has been about GGG and Kovalev lately.

The entire boxing world knows that ever since Herrera schooled Garcia in PR, he ran away with his tail between his legs and started fight total cans.

 

His career ends @ 147 :deal

There wont be no 154 or 160 :nono

Unless the beatings @147 leaves him with so much head trauma that he foolishly believes he can take on 154/160 pounders .

He wont make it as a full fledged WW . Whether you like it or not .
