Danny Garcia Underdog Situation is INSANE

I don't think Danny has any haterz that I can think of. Yeah, sure a few folks don't like Angel, but they arent near enough to swing the odds in such a manner as to make Danny such a dog in this fight.

Facts are that the odds should be opposite here. Garcia dominated Zab for almost 3/4 of their fight. Whereas Lucas struggled to find him. Both hurt him equally, but Danny hurt him more often.

Danny is coming off a KO win over the iron chinned Morales. A devastating KO over a guy often referred to around here as a god. And Morales was coming off a few very impressive performances against equally imposing figures as Mathysse.
Lucas did to Lamont what almost everyone expected. He stopped him in brutal fashion. But Lamont has always had just so-so whiskers, and he's also known to bring it.

The reason Im picking Mathysee in this one, is much the same as I picked Mathysee over Peterson. While Im a fan of both Garcia and Peterson, and only now warming up to Lucas, I just can't pick a guy with even slightly questionable whiskers against Lucas. :-(

 

There seems to be a real theme of Garcia fans thinking that picking Lucas automatically means that you class him as a bum,but that's not the case at all.
I think Garcia is a very good and improved fighter and I certainly don't underrate him.
But as is mine and everyone else's right,I'm picking the guy I think will win.
I also think Floyd will put on the best performance of the latter stages of his career but I like Canelo and rate him highly.
It seems to be a small group of Swift fans who are taking this very personally.

 

Everyone said that Peterson was going to win even hopkins and garcia himself

 

And morales is considered a boxing "god" because of his PAST fights because as we all know he was shot to **** even when he fought maidana

come on chitown...an iron chinned erik morales who had love handles and whose best wins came at bantam weight?

 

I mean whats wrong with him being an under dog ? His last 2 opponents were long past their best ,maybe people are basing this on his recent fights !

 

I don't get for a second why Garcia fans are unhappy he's an underdog.
FFS, if ever there was a reason to go and make a serious bet, those with faith in Swift should be jumping for joy with those odds and be getting some serious sheckles on their boy.
Boxing odds tend not to jump too widely, but if I was thinking Danny wins,this is one of those rare occasios when the odds on Danny could shrink tomorrow.
And for that very reason, I'm holding back to see how that unfolds before betting on LMM.

I love that nearly everyones writing off Garcia, he's a superior boxer to Lucas with a deeper toolbox and a much smarter fighter. He also has a good chin and power. Lucas might have slightly more power and a slightly better chin but Garcia is better in just about every other area and a bout equal in speed. Garcia's versatility and ability to adapt will confuse Matthysse, once he times Matthysse it's gonna shock alot of people. I been watching some older Garcia fights and he's really dealt with a large variety of styles and always stays calm and collected when under attack and puches with a guy when they attack until he times them. He never looks flashy which is why he gets underrated he just does everything good and he's smart. Lucas on the other hand looks like a beast the way he he destroys guys (other than Judah, Alexander, the nodbody Ajose), Lucas looks flashier, seems like more of a killer and that's why he gets so much hype for doing nothing but beating Peterson.

 

I'm definitely surprised at Mattyhsse being the bookies favorite

As you know,I have no problem in saying I've got it wrong about a guy and I think you'll remember how I told you a while back that I was wrong about Danny,and I gotta Ton of respect for his ability these days.
But you're the perfect example of someone who understands that not all of us who pick Lucas translates into thinking Danny's ****.

Even a Lucas KO is 8/13.That's very unusual for a fight where the gulf in levels isn't vast.

 

Lucas has "lost" two fights, so it could happen. Lucas, will win by KO though by the 8th round.

Best fight on the card, by a clear margin though.

 

You burned the most you ever have on one bet? Good for you. I bet on Matthyse, sure a smaller payout but a payout nonetheless. Garcia isn't very good, he doesn't move well at all and he only has a left hook. He was cautious as hell against Holt, he can try and do that against Lucas to survive but I think any way you slice it he is getting KTFO.

 

did anyone notice how Angel almost had a stroke when the scales read that Danny was half a pound off? for some reason, I have a feeling he will steal the show tommorrow
