Lamont Peterson is no bum and stands a good chance of beating Danny Garcia. He may beat him in a dominate fashion. Just because Lucas knocked him out don't mean that Danny is gonna beat him. I think that he's all wrong for Danny.
I had to go with my gut here, took Peterson Dec.. Peterson is a much better boxer than he gets credit for. yes he lost clearly to khan but who wouldn't lose to khan right now ? very few people can beat khan especially if it goes 12 rounds. I just feel the Matty fight is going to be in petersons head which will make him fight much smarter. his last opponent hit it on the head. that dude thatr fight out of Canada now, pretty sure his last fight, smallish bald or shaved little black dude. he said, sometimes Peterson fights above his chins capabilities, he doesn't have a bad chin ( im sure according to lots on here he's packing chino since he was stopped in the 3rd round) I just think he needs to use the stick and when he attacks be quick and back on defense immediately, don't sit there and trade with DG. no one can trade with DG, NO ONE
I think Peterson has a MUCH better chance than many are thinking. Even though I dislike him for being a drug cheat, at least he isn't a Cherry Picker. The guy does have a jab, and we know from the Herrera fight, Danny can't deal with a guy just jabbing him all night. Lamont sometimes does go STRAIGHT BACK in his retreat... This is easy to time/catch so I think that could be his undoing. Otherwise he outboxes Danny.
Still bitter over Garcia huh? :|:|:| Fact is: Garcia's fight vs Peterson is much more meaningful than Lucas' fights against Roberto Ortiz, John Molina and Provodnikov. :hi::hi:
Peterson will have to be very very careful with Garcias power, and he will need some luck too. But if he boxes clever, takes it into the later rounds, he might win this.
