Although I do believe that Amir would win in the rematch, should it ever happen, I do think that he needs to make drastic changes to his style to be successful at 147 (or even at 140). I think he does have a good enough boxing brain to realise what needs to be done, not to dive in all guns blazing and he has the reach and speed to take his time and pick his shots. I also think that the abscence of Alex Ariza is noticable. I pick Khan to take a victory in a rematch, but things NEED to be addressed first.
I agree. And I'm stunned that so many people didn't realize this years ago. Actually, I'm not, this is ESB afterall... Barrera Kotelnik Salita Paulie McCloskey ^ None of these guys will knock out a world class fighter (Paulie/Senchenko eye aside)... Judah Maidana ^ And guess what? That is all he has beaten since his horrible KO1 loss to Breidis. Amir Khan, we're talking about literally the most overrated fighter of the past 5-ish years or so...
Garcia knocks him sparks out again and this fight won't happen. Don't be deceived by Khan's cheap "HE WON'T GIVE ME A REMATCH" campaign when both him and his team know Garcia is forced to give Morales a rematch. There's a reason Khan's team wanted nothing to do with Prescott after that one-minute bonanza and kept coming up with the most pathetic excuses to avoid him.
Khan has problems and will always have problem with hard punching pressure fighters. In a rematch with Garcia I favor Garcia. I see nothing in the way Khan fights that would say otherwise.
Khan doesn't seem to be able to fight disciplined for a whole fight, so he will probably leave himself open again. He has to fight disciplined the whole fight.
