Of all the fights out there for Garcia now, why on earth would he sign to fight Erik Morales again?? Shouldn't he be trying to further advance his career at this point?

If this thread has already been made I apologize, I have been gone about a month and a half.

    Thoughts :?

Morales is going to win this fight.
It's a shame for Garcia tho...
(He had so much momentum after the Khan fight)
^Didnt need to rematch w/Morales, Danny could have dropped the WBC.

Safe for Garcia and probably a lot of money in it. I would rather see Garcia in there with Matthysee, a Khan rematch, Zab Judah, Juan Manuel Marquez, Mike Alvardo or Brandon Rios than this.

It just seems pointless to me, is there any real interest in this fight? Danny just beat him in late March of this year, and after his amazing upset over Khan, I would just think he and his management team would be onto bigger and better fights and paydays. Can't believe Al Haymon gave the okay for this fight, there can't be any real money or interest to see this fight again.

36 year old former bantamweights fighting at super lightweight dont much have a history of success.... especially when fighting a 24 year old who is getting better...... he will stop the brave old man this time.....

    Perhaps

    JMM
    Zab Judah
    Brandon Rios
    Mike Alvarado
    Lucas Matthysse
    Amir Khan rematch
Hell plenty of people would pay too see a Humberto Soto fight, myself included. I also wouldn't mind seeing him fight Maidana if he came back down, or even Lamont Peterson whenever he is okay to fight again probably late this year or early next.

Any of those opponents would be more interesting, and more then likely sell very well.

Soto? I'd rather see Morales try again then Soto getting a shot. Oh and Morales had a rematch clause so thats why the fight is happening.

Morales was winning the early rounds of the first fight imo.

If he gets in a little better shape, Morales can still beat fighters the skill level of Garcia who are not that quick or fast.

This is not a gimme for Garcia, but whether Morales has it in him to get in much better shape than he was last time is a big question mark.

If this were a 6 round fight, and I was a betting man, I'd go all in on Morales. The problem is that its a 12 round fight of which Morales has long not been up for.

Morales had a rematch clause. He used it. Not really that complicated

I dont know what people dont understand about the concept of a rematch clause. I'v read "why is Garcia fighting Morales again?" about 5 times in the past week.

Morales lost to Maidana because he was too tired in the final rounds. Same thing with Garcia. Against Garcia he was gaining momentum right before the KD, landing good shots with somewhat ease but he could never recover from the KD.

Garcia wins this fight easier this time around. Morales still can give a lot of them 140s a tough time, though.

Morales did a lot better than Khan in fighting against Gracia. So what 's wrong with the rematch? Do you think that Gracia is gonna beat Morales easily? or what?
