    Garcia opens with a left hook on the gloves of Morales. Good right from Morales is his first punch of the fight. Some jabs from Garcia, no of which land. Good jab from Erik. Few lefts from Morales, none landing. Jab to the body from Morales. Good left then right hook land on Morales chin. Solid jab from Morales. Good right hook lands on Morales again. Garcia looking quick in there. Solid jab to the body from Morales. Close opening round.

    Garcia should win a decision. Morales knowledge, experience, and craft are evident but I don't think enough. I thought Garcia won the first round rather clearly despite HBO's lavishing praise of Morales, who looked somewhat comfortable though.

    Garcia circles to his left and throws the 1-2. Morales is steadily turning with short baby steps, a bit rickety and showing his age trying to stay squared up. Morales throws some hard straight combos, but Garcia is staying on the outside and landing the jab to the body. Morales starts to land more toward the end of the round, but Garcia was able to make it a ranged battle for the most part and connect better.
