Katsidis and Diaz style are a lot different than Garcias. Marquez wins UD.

Is Marquez not open to the left hook? He got ktfo by Katsidis and Mayweather by a left hook. He'd play counter puncher with the harder puncher in Garcia. Im not saying either fighter wpuld dominate but it would be a very close fight. And considering Marquez has been down many times in his career n many a time by a left hook and Garcia has never even been buckled n posseses a one punch ko left hook, id have to say there is a big chance Danny comes out on top.

The so called experts come out when it comes to a legend like Marquez who beat an overrated Pacquiao. They must think Juan Diaz and Katsidis got lucky almost putting away Marquez like Danny supposedly got lucky vs Khan. So called boxing fans make me laugh :hey

Yes, I stand by what I say...Who cares if he was KD, he got up and won those fight...Thats all thats matters....Overrated or not, Pacquiao packs a punch wether you admit or not and he was able to take his punches and dish back out while dictating the pace...Garcia hasnt been in the ring with a mechanic like JMM...With those looping shots Garcia throws, he's gonna get countered...You can have all of the power in the world but its means jack **** if you cant hit your target...JMM is to smart to get off his gameplan like Khan.

Garcia knows when to counter,call it what u want,but the kid is a beast and he's getting better every fight.

 

Easy fight to sell, and good for boxing. Old lion vs. new lion, P.R. vs. Mexico, action fight. If Garcia wins, the sport gets a new star. If JMM wins, it adds to his legacy and Garcia can still bounce back and have a great career.

Until JMM shows he's shot, I give him the edge in this one. However, boxers get old in one fight and it is bound to happen sooner or later.

 

Cant hit ur target? When did Marquez become thia defensive genius u speak of? He always get caught. Pacquiao cant hit **** if they arent standing in front of him like a punching bag. The problem here is i think the fight could go either way. You act like some expert who thinkd Marquez is on some other level. By beating tune ups n Pacquiao every 3 years? Marquez would dominate. Garcia made me a fan but he's definitely not on Marquez's level. Garcia's punches are way too wide and Marquez would catch him before Garcia landed anything. Garcia was countering Khan and caught him with some greatly timed hooks which Garcia will not be able to do against a counter puncher with experience like Marquez. Marquez does get lured into slugging sometimes but does not deviate from the gameplan like Khan did. If Garcia does catch Marquez with a big punch and knocks him down, you can guarantee that Marquez will get up and make the necessary adjustments. Marquez by UD or late TKO due to his greater skill, experience and high ring IQ.

So tell me why were inferior fighters like Juan Diaz and Katsidis able to hit him with such vicious left hooks? Pac also landed a short left hook uppercut type punch but thats understandable being south paw. Mayweather also knocked Marquez down with it.

I personally think it has to do with Marquez stance. He cant see the punch coming at times. His defensive mechanism is to move away from punches and control the distance. You rarely see him cover up and block absorb punches with his gloves. He never closes the gap and works inside like a Mayweather would. He simply feints u, attacks n gets riht out. He can leave himself off balance and drops his guard on occassion when he does this. Thats not the greatest form of defense when it comes to rapid off rythm type wide or short hooks that can catch him completely off guard.

Marquez doesnt just have to worry about the left hook because Garcia can jab u n work the body till u forget about the left, then when u think ur gettin ur shots off, danny rips a right hand left hook combo. Id give Marquez so much props to take a fight like this. Hell i wish he woulda fought Judah. But he doesnt take these kinda risks in hopes that he gets Pacquiao AGAIN. Very unfortunate...
