    Who wins and why?

I fancy Thurman purely because he has better movement, speed and packs a punch...IMO, Garcia just has great timing. Not sure though...

Not if Angel has anything to say about it....

If Thurman doesn't try to brawl he should outbox Danny. But if he trades with Danny he's going to get that chin checked.

Of course, DG would have the judges on his side, so it is very difficult question.

Thurman vulnerable to the body but if he moves, in and out Amir Khan style with power punches then I dunno...could be a longggg night for Garcia!

Let us be unbiased - Thurman vs Garcia would be 60/40 type of fight.

I like Garcia but really what does he bring to the table? Overall he's pretty slow...just got really good timing, no?

Both guys would be coming off long layoffs. The fight would probably be slow for 3 rounds until they get the rust off.

Either way, this fight needs to happen, at least for Thurman's sake.

He has more than decent punch power, or he had at 140....

Why do you say they would both be coming off of long layoffs? Thurman fought last about 2 and a half months ago. Garcia last fought 8 months ago and most likely 9 MAYBE 10 months by the time his next fight rolls around. But its not like we know their future schedule beyond that.

Either way, I don't see this fight happening AT ALL. And it won't be Team Thurman's fault either.

Spring 2017 can be as far away as May 2017. That would be just about a year for both guys to be out. That is far too long for fighters at the elite level. They should be fighting at least 3 times a year to stay sharp and keep their craft polished.

Garcia's recent opponents makes me think that he don't want that smoke. I'd love for this fight to happen though. My money would be on Thurman.

You know Garcia has a fight coming up in the next month or two right?
And you don't seriously believe that Garcia is gonna stay out of the ring for 16 months only to come back an face Thurman as his first fight do you?
