Danny Garcia vs. Lucas Mattysse

Lets be real here Garcia isn't all that, i don't mean to knock him but C'mon he KO'd a glass jaw hype job and barely beat an out of shape over the hill Morales its not much to write home about

i think an in shape morales will school him

 

Can Garcia avoid Mattyysse? He will if he can...

Mattysse working his way up 140.. then suddenly meets the 'king' of 140 - easiest fight of his life. LOL

 

What is there to know about Danny? Khan opened his face up and Danny was on the way out until Khan got caught.

I look at the way Danny had problems with Erik Morales and I can't see how he wins against MAttysse. Mattysse is the closest in terms of style to a prime morales of any active fighter today. He use a jab and good boxing to apply a high volume pressure fighter type style. I can see his solid technique and high volume overwhelming Garcia. Garcia is tough though and you can never count him out.

 

I think Danny has a decent chin...

BUT... has anybody who has ever faced Mattysse not gone down or got KO'd?

LOL look at his pro record!

He either KO'd, TKO'd or RTD ALL of his opponents...

And his two decision loses opponents Alexander & Judah both went down... and I think he beat both of them (by 1 or 2 points)

Alexander hometown decision as usual.

I'd BET on KO/TKO.. wonder what the odds would be?

Khan says he wants to clear up 140... Well he'd have to fight Mattysse to do that... and **** could get ugly fast.

 

Matthysse would break Garcia down & stop him.

Garcia close decision probably. I think he's better than Judah and Alexander in two important facets of the game especially when dealing with Matthysse: chin and stamina. That would be the deciding factor, although this is about as close to a coin flip fight that could be made in boxing today, for me.

If there is to be an unfair decision in this one, it would be Matthysse getting the bad end of the decision.

 

Keep telling yourself that... everybody, including you, needs their sleep.

 

Only guys at 140lbs who could beat LM are Tim Bradley, and maybe Marquez. (I'm starting to doubt that though.)

 

Aside from the obvious chin and power advantage Lucas has he also has a better defense and boxing skills.

Danny Wins This Easily. The guy is a natural winner. LM is soooo overrated, couldn't even finish Old Man Judah.

such a close fight . i love both these fighters . gotta go wit lucas tho. his chin, stamina, power is so legit.

danny is legit to . hes very resillent ton of heart . good counter puncher . but i dont think garcia has the power to hurt lucas if he does he can win. hes not fast enuff to elude lucas hes gunna get in trouble at times and have no where to go. dannys chin better be legit if u wants to stay up and he better be in great shape cuz lucas in gunna throw tremendous body shots.

lucas got robbed vs alexander and arguable he beat judah. id say more then half of people say lucas won i would say lucas won too . lucas never got hurt stayed in there the whole fite got the only knockdown n deff did more damage. so ne ways lucas is not trying to go to a decision he got robbed to many times so every round hes gunna bring it and lucas never showed us any signs of him gettin tired or hurt.

this has potential to be an epic . these are my 2 fav fighters and it hurts me to say i think danny would lose cuz i slightly like him better then lucas but if they fought i would have to say i think lucas would win

 

For what it's worth, I had Judah beating Lucas by a point.
