That heavyweight 'fight' was such a joke. It's obvious why it took place in Puerto Rico, and Wilder and Scott admitting they're friends.

Does Golden Boy really think boxing fans are that stupid?

What a disgusting robbery. I scored the main event BIG for Herrera, 9-3 rounds, 117-111 points, giving Garcia the 1st, 8th, and 11th rounds. Some rounds were close, and difficult to score. But Herrera from beginning to end was the aggressor, the one moving forward, backing up Garcia, initiating most of the exchanges with his jab, and frequently following up with surprisingly solid right hands. He clearly fought the fight HE wanted to fight over all 12 rounds. Garcia was ALWAYS backing up and mostly reduced to counterpunching, most of them left hooks to the body, he rarely initiated exchanges, and never got his jab working at all. Herrera was spectacular defensively, despite being the one always moving forward; he showed excellent head and foot movement, made Garcia miss most of his power shots, and parried off most of the rest. Garcia never buzzed him at all. Pending punch stats, I expect Herrera was the busier fighter overall, with a huge lead in jabs landed, and running Garcia very close in power shots landed. So for me, Herrera clearly dominated on effective aggression, clean punches, ring generalship, and defense. The rounds I gave Garcia were for his landing a few clean hard counter power shots; his best round was probably the 8th, where he landed several hard left hooks and one nice right hand. Much respect to Herrera for an outstanding performance, I hope to see him again very soon in more big televised fights. Much DISrespect to GBP for paying off the judges, and to Garcia for his false braggadocio in the postfight interview, which Jim Gray surprisingly softballed. That PR crowd knew the truth, Garcia got his ass handed to him tonight!!!

How do you "outclass" someone fighting about 60 second of most rounds?

Funny thing is Herrera did more damage to Danny with popping those jabs snapping Dannys head back and had the cleaner shots yet Danny had the higher number of powershots? Wtf? It's not even April Fool's yet. Danny got a gift win, but he lost to Mauricio Herrera. Herrera looked like the champ in there.
