When you say "peaked", are you refering to the number of viewers during a given time ? Forgive me, I'm frequently lost on such matters.

Most of these american fighters have no fan base. It's football season in the US now and not too many people give a crap about Danny Garcia or Shawn Porter. Shame

I honestly have no idea what is deemed good or bad number for US Television. So thats not great for Garcia vs Porter? People like Deontay Wilder are doing double those numbers arent they?

 

I am not. Been saying it for a while, that SHO is ****ing around.
1mil used to be the benchmark. Now it seems 700k is hard to crack.
SHO enormous budget is not translating over into ratings.

 

That's the thing, Deontay is the only one who gets to break the 1m barrier.
Broner was the second closest.

In 2017, neither network(SHO and HBO) cracked 1m.
HBO is one foot out of the door. SHO just doesn't know what they are doing.

HBO has had 10 fight cards in 9 months...
SHO has had 12 fight cards in the same time frame.

They should both offer at least 2 cards a night. Build up some lesser know guys with activity.
But no...

 

Keep in mind that HBO has about 54M subscribers while Showtime only recently surpassed 25M. You have to account for other factors, obviously, but essentially someone doing 600k on Showtime would be doing 1.2M on HBO.

For perspective, ESPN -- which has a massive audience -- did 4.4M views for Pacquaio/Horn. And Thurman/Garcia did 5.1M on CBS.
