the worst bit about all this is Garcia is at his prime yet still wants these easy fights I mean even 40 year old fighters who want to have a win before they retire wont fight salka
This cannot be defended in any way. This is deplorable behavior from a champion. Not even partially good picking , like fighting a low level southpaw to keep your skills tight, he just went to the bottom of the rankings and started digging lower.
**** fight no doubt, but he has a voluntary defense, so of course he's going to pick a sweet ripe cherry off the cherry tree. Khan is the mando, but is injured... So....yeah. Maybe they should reach out to Rios, or even JMM... **** it.
Eggington is a mediocre British level fighter at best. For the so called WBC Welter Weight champion to try and pick him for a voluntary is a complete joke. Garcia is the worst cherry picker out there without a shadow of a doubt....
The crazy thing is Garcia has had a few good wins, Khan, Matthysse, Peterson. I didn't understand Salka and never will, that did his reputation so much harm and thought the recent talk of Molina was a joke but Eggington? Really? In that division? There are a few very decent fights for Garcia in that division so I can only assume it is the money and PBC/Haymon, you have to pay a good fighter good money and I think Garcia wants to fight, he don't want to be this inactive and PBC/Haymon don't want to pay out the kind of money a good opponent will want. Looks like they just want a very cheap opponent.
Haha, thought this was a joke but just read it on the scene. The worst thing is, when Hearn offered them Gavin and Eggignton, they probably went away and saw that Gavin was better than Sam and came back and ask for Eggington.
They got to preserve the Money fight which is Khan, or even a possible fight with Floyd or Pac, who knows.. still it's a **** fight.
Doesn't mean they can't renegotiate. Besides pac is already scheduled to fight, so that's a non subject right now.
