I know what you're trying to do with that last question. :hey You're one slick fella. I will give you that. :deal
Haha oh did you mean I should have said a round instead of a point? I swear that was not my intention in some kind of attempt to catch you out haha. Just trying to make peace and leave this argument on a good note so we can get back to talking boxing.
It would be better if we just agreed on the fact that there are many different methods of scoring and there are factors that you might prioritize that I might not and vice versa. I think that's fair.
Alright fair enough. Judging from most of the fights I've seen you comment on we tend to score similarly outside of DSG's 2 controversial fights. I don't think you are an incapable scorer by any means. If you don't want to give me the same credit that's fine.
Forget it. Too bad you weren't on ESB earlier this year, you could have joined Kirk's tourney and made picks. Would have been more fun playing with more people.
Haha I am indeed. Born in London of Welsh decent and raised in LA since I was 12. Lennox is on the short list of fighters I admit to being biased towards along with Zaggers, Benn, Eubank, Hatton, Hearns, Mancini, and Duran. But I still try to maintain objectivity. I'm not one of the mugs who thinks Hatton would have roughed Floyd up if it weren't for Cortez. Ya get schooled and KO'd, ya get schooled and KO'd. Ref doesn't matter when the class gap is wide.
I see, so you love the action fighters. Also a big Lewis fan here, love his style. And he was a Canada rep and always comes back here.
I do like action fighters but I think the real reason the above men make my short list is because they're the best to represent Britain during my lifetime. Ricky was as likeable as they come and always gave an honest and funny post fight interview, Eubank was a one of a kind personality and entertainer. Benn was the epitome of the loveable mug. Somehow I forgot Naz. He was another favorite, but unlike many of my compatriots I'm level headed enough to acknowledge he would have been taken to school if a fight with Floyd had ever been made. Boom Boom makes the list because he's a close personal friend and a terrific chap. Duran is on there for having the gonads of a rhinoceros and I maintain he's the greatest fighter I've seen in my lifetime. Even though many of favorite boxers are action fighters I think I generally tend to favor purer boxers (and particularly those who work behind a strong and effective jab) on my scorecards.
I already agreed with you that DSG would probably catch Amir again in a rematch and make him do his funny dance...but after last night it is, as you like to say, irrefutable. Algieri is nothing like the complete joke so many make him out to be, but even knowing how susceptible Khan is to the left hook I couldn't believe how many Algieri caught him clean with - and the straight/overhand rights as well. Garcia/Khan II would be a repeat of Garcia/Khan I, just a matter of which round. :nod You were right, oh wise one :bowdown
