Really?, I know he did. My response was to the idiot who was hinting that Garcia doesn't have good enough power to hurt/stun Cotto. If Maussa and Abdullaev did, then Garcia sure as hell can.

So KOing Khan and old Morales means you KO Cotto who was never stopped at 140 and was only ever stopped by prime (possibly PED using) Pac and big (possibly loaded gloves) Margarito?

I know it's possible but Garcia has never KO'd someone good enough to say he would KO Cotto.

Also, worse fighters than Cotto have had there moments against Garcia too.

Hey, that's uncalled for. I never said he didn't have the power to hurt or stun Cotto. I said who has he KO'd to suggest he could KO Cotto?

I never said he would stop him but he sure as hell can hurt him with his power. Cotto isn't exactly easy to stop anyway and Garcia is known to be calculating when he has an opponent hurt and is rarely reckless. Cotto took punches from a cheating scumbag with loaded gloves for 11 rounds.

No offense, I got carried away there considering the ocean of abstinent e-trolls on the site. I never said he would KO him but he can hurt him and back him off.

this woulda been a good one but arum wouldnt of let it happen unless he tried the same **** he tried for floyd v marg. offer him a good payday but attach future options

i feel cotto would be up a round or 2 but garcia would had started timing him and by rounds 6-9 he woulda landed a damaging left counter. cotto woulda got up but wont make it to the end of the round. and i liked cotto at 140 but he was draining himself the last couple years and was very weak come fight night..

weak as in he was getting hurt way too easily. if garcia hurts especially a fading fighter it will be lghts out

and to answeer MVC thread, garcia i dont think will ever get the love those fighters you mentioned got because he was born and bread here. lol here as in USA and he is way americanized..
and before you get carried away, yes, puerto rico is officially part of the USA but its not according to them. for some reason they want to be special

Chop chop is also the same guy that rocked Mayweather so getting hurt or dropped don't mean anything

Dream on. At 140 cotto was so skillfull moved around beautifully and had an invincibility factor about him. Most of the 140 guys at that time would have schooled Garcia including Judah

I posted a thread on this a while back. and its a great matchup that i'd give a very slight edge to Junito in.

It would have been a badass fight....

I could totally see Cotto outboxing Garcia to capture a decision, and yet a close Garcia decision wouldn't surprise me either if hes able to score a couple knockdowns.

Im leaning towards Cotto by decision, but good, fun fight.

i see Cotto taking it with a clear decision.

Cotto wouldn't follow him around the ring, so Danny would probably be the one chasing.

Cotto isn't stupid enough to walk straight in and not think about the counter hook. he'd be using feints and upper body movement to not telegraph his shots.

the jab would be a serious weapon for Miguel, as would the left hook that comes off of it.

a calm, measured performance from Cotto, with everything coming off the jab, picking his spots for when to let them go, will win him this.
Garcia may hurt him a couple of times, but not enough to get the win. his IQ isn't, as someone has claimed, all that good. Cotto would be the ring General here.
