danny got lucky

Danny fought a very good fight and boxed a lot better than I thought he would. Maybe he was a little fortunate that Matthysse's eye went that bad but it was a punch that did it. He was smart in that he knew Lucas's power, only a fool would play to his opponents strengths and trade with him unnecessarily. What he was lucky about was possibly only getting one point deduction for the low blows and the knockdown might not have been legitimate.

 

Lucky???? You must be a casual boxing fan. The word luck isn't used in the boxing game. Unless of course if it has something to do that is out of the fighters control. These guys spent months training for this high profiled championship fight, don't taint ones victory with the word luck. It doesn't apply to this fight at all. Wonderful performance from Danny

 

So lucas eye just somehow went bad? Its not because Danny repeatedly starched him with left hooks? Yeah thats it, lucas eye was puffy during the ringwalk, danny had nothing to do with it.

Danny boxed well. He deserved it but i will say if the eye was not swollen matthese would have won. I also think that if the fight went any longer mathese would have won. Great fight tho.

 

Danny was winning near enough every round before his eye got swollen you weapon.

And his eye got swollen because he was taking a beating, so how you can say he would've won if he didn't get his eye shattered is beyond moronic.

Garcia has his number, in a rematch it would be the same result.

Just like when he rematched morales, and if he rematched judah or kahn the results would be the same.

There ain't no one at 140 that is going to trouble danny, you guys don't realise he is a special fighter. Only mayweather would top danny

 

This forum is so freaken ridiculous...if you go back prior to the fight, almost everyone had Garcia losing...no chance of nothing...and you all know who you are...Garcia, in my perspective does everything better than Lucas...hands down...but Garcia won't get his due regardless who he fights.

 

Danny Garcia won that fight going away. Better chin, better boxer, faster, more effective puncher. Dam good knockdown. I picked him to loose. Fooled me. Deserved the win.

 

Nothing lucky about it. Garcia fought an intelligent fight and was beating Lucas to the punch. Garcia is really impressing me.

 

It's really deteriorated this place since they made all the changes.

There use to be a good number of knowledgeable posters who knew their stuff, now they've jumped ship and joined other boxing forums and we're left with the casuals and dummies who just watch a few highlight reels of fighters and listen to media hype and make out like they know everything.

Great fight, brilliant showing of skills and effort by both fighters. I want a repeat.

 

I thought it was a great fight. If Matthysse didn't have that power though it wouldn't be nearly as exciting. He was pretty crude at times but he was always in it because of that one shot he has
