Terrible move for Tarver. He's going to get beaten up here, and should stay behind the microphone where it's nice and safe and there's a little more promise of career stability.

i dont think Hopkins is scared of Green.his resume even over 40 shits on Dannys.i guess the Americans have convinced themselves Roy was caught cold,by loaded gloves
whatever that it was a fluke and their is still American interest in this fight.

so its ok for hopkins to pass on making sqillions but not for green. double standards or what?
from all accounts, danny was trying to do whatever he could to make hopkins sign. but he still didn't want a bar of it. he said hopkins was just making things more and more difficult as negotiations went on.

anybody with an iq above 1 (i think that means most of us, lol) could see hopkins preferred to fight jones than to take a risk of getting ko'd by green at this stage of his career. againts jones he at least is confident he won't get the **** beat out of him.

but that's not saying hopkins would lose to danny green anyway, who knows maybe he would school green the same way that jones was suppose to. he has done just that plenty of times to opponents in the past. and of course hopkins would start a short priced favourite.

Hopkins was showing signs of not wanting to fight Green in his post-Ornelas fight interview.

    "Europe"? :hey

He was already questioning Green's win over RJJ as early as that, so I guess that shows he always wanted the rematch with Jones after all.

What have you done in your life to criticise me? I'm a boxing fan who calls it like I see it. You ****ing wrinkled up old turd.

No probably not, but he would show skills and outbox Jones worse than Calzaghe did, that'd be more impressive to me than some excuse making, knucklehead thug who thinks he's righteous charging out the gate to drop a faded legend with an illegal punch than slapping gloves until his hometown ref waves it off. There was nothing impressive about Greens win over Jones, that's why nobody overseas cares about seeing Green again.

Blah Blah Blah................ get off Green's nuts and stop implying Hopkins is slightly worried about a 37yr old Aussie with limited ability.

Mate, you lead with your chin, you're going to get criticised, like it or not.
**** off with your "anyone who supports Green doesn't know true boxing" bull****, you wannabe aficionado :deal

You sound like all the Floyd boyz who hide behind that bull**** every time their favourite fighter is under attack "ooh, you don't appreciate the sweet science, you ain't no boxing fan ooh" :blabla

Green beat RJJ fair and square, you silly little self-righteous malcontented ****.

Green is also a good enough boxer to have represented Australia at the Olympics and Commonwealth games and holds his own within the ranks of professional boxing. Boxing has always had it's technicians and it's punchers, acting as if you know so much because you only appreciate 'true boxers' just makes you look like the tryhard you are.

You admitted why you hate Green - because he apparently dragged your mother's doctor away while she was on her deathbed

**** off and get over it, dickhead :yep

What would you classify Green as? He's overrated as a puncher, who has he ever knocked out? When Kessler hit Beyer he stayed down and I wouldn't exactly call Kess a puncher. Glen Johnson hit Roy with a legal punch and Roy stayed down. Is Glen Johnson a puncher? Who has the stiff knocked out who wasn't a complete bum?

The best he KO'd besides Roy Jones, would prob have to be his stoppage of Eric Lucas.
Next best stoppages are the Jason Delisle level fighters who never made it past fringe contender.

Actually his next best effort after RJJ is probably taking a few rounds off Mundine in their fight

Ok genius with your logic explain how Green stopped Lucas quicker than Kessler...........que the response...Lucas was injured.

BTW does the Dr still dig up that corpse of a mother of yours and bang it, or does Danny still keep ringing him and interupting?
