Danny Green exposes hype job BJ Flores!!!!

Cunningham's next fight is January 22nd against IBF mandatory challenger Enad Licina, they're both promoted by Sauerland Event. I suppose the winner will be part of next year's Super Six.

 

C'mon, Danny deserves SOME credit. He did everything right, he didn't run, he outboxed Flores and even invited him in with his back against the rope alot of times but Flores wouldn't dare to brawl with him. Oh and the fight was at cruiserweight, not Dannyweight... worthy of some credit.

I actually thought Green fought very well tonight; fought a very technical fight; smart fight; and set up good counters.

Flores had a very average jab and didn't attempt at any half-decent combinations. It looked like his game plan was to counter off Green's right hand, but Green wasn't throwing it like he usually does.

It was a good performance by Green, and Flores was a worthy opponent, but like i said Flores was hugely hyped on almost size alone.

On another topic why does Green have so many bogan fans? Can't they analyse a fight beyond "He smashed him good!" and "Greeny keeping them yanks at bay!".

 

Its not just U.S. fighters that don't travel well. BJ Flores has always been a ****in hype job just fighting in the U.S.

This fight has no implications on other American fighters.

Yes it does, because time and time again, we are told how great some of these guys are. Also we gotta hear from these boxers mouths how they will win a fight anyhow and "anywhere" against their non American rivals. But it seems when it comes to the crunch, that anywhere claim is bull****. Unless they are fighting on their own door step, they seem to not have the mental tools to carry their A game away from the home comforts and translate that away from home.

Totally agree, he ignored his mandatory with Cunningham while talking about going for it. I was always annoyed with all his espn appearances in studio too.

Green-Cunningham be a good one. I'm sure USS would even go to Australia for.

at least green took on a fighter who wasn't badly faded or retired this time.
by the way, flores was quoted in 'the west australian' newspaper the other day as getting a plenty of well-wishes from aussie fans here in perth before the fight.
a lot of fans have had enough with green's bull**** fights, and he's really in a catch 22 position at his age aanyway now.

Yeah, I thought Green dominated the fight, used his jab well and really
got BJ off guard doubling up on his jab.

Greens left hook seemed to be working wonders, it seemed the whole
fight that he was setting up his right hand, but it didnt eventuate.

I had the scores nearly as judged, Flores was often trying to push the
fight - but just didnt throw shots.

Smart fight by Green to outbox a boxer.

 

chalk another american hype job on the board. flores sums up the state of american boxing at the present time.

fighters of little substance being hyped well beyond their means through tv companies and ring comic, backed by hoards of delusional american puppetts who have no awareness that boxers from other countries are way better.

american boxers are so lucky that 90% of the big fights have to take place in their own country because when an american boxer travels to a foreign country, 90% of the time they fold like a lawn chair.
