Danny Green forced to fend off claims from Paul Briggs camp

The mains expose here is that fact that Briggs has revealed himself to be the criminal thug that he claimed he was no longer in his book.

I feel for the bloke, especially if he's suffering from mental illness, and is no longer with his wife, but there are actually some people on here justifying his actions because they resulted in Green being embarrased.

Briggs called their bluff. He offered nothing that you or me couldn't have offered in that fight going on his condition which the major players here knew about.

Let's simplify it. Green wanted a gimme and a payday. He got that. Was Paul supposed to get his brain scrambled even more than it is?

So why is Danny complaining? It went to script, except Briggs stopped at the part where it said he needed to let Danny tee off on him and have the crowd cheering.

The big assumption you're basing your post on is that Green and his team knew how bad Briggs' condition was.

I don't think they did.

It does seem to have been kept under wraps by Hussein, and all this talk of Briggs being KOd in sparring etc have only come out since the fight.

Do you honestly believe Green was willing to risk hospitalising or even killing Briggs?

You'd have to have an extremely low opinion of someone to believe they would willingly do that.

The real crooks in this situation are Briggs and Hussein. Green wanted a fight, Briggs told him he was capable and all reports of his training leading up to the fight were that he was training the house down. If Hussein was so concerned he should have told Green and the WA boxing commission.

If Billy is half the man he claims to be he would have rung green and said don't do it. instaed he justifies his actuons saying if it wasn't him, would be someone else. what a load of crap. can be said for fenech who has a lot to answer for in this also.

You're a deadset moron. Fenech wanted the fight called off and said it was criminal that the fight was happening. Briggs was taking the fight for money, Hussein was there to protect him if he needed it and helped the fight to go ahead so Paul could get paid. If you're struggling with money you are going to take a calculated risk for 250 grand. Danny green is the one who created the situation, the one who made it possible. It's funny how green calls Briggs a mate yet he makes him an offer he can't refuse after being retired for three years due to boxing related health issues. Yes brufag, green is that much of a lowlife and people can see the **** for themselves. You have to be ****ing joking to say that green didn't know that Briggs would be an easy touch. Greens matchmaking has delivered a massive blow to the sports already lacking credibility. Green is a ****ing scumbag, I've been saying it for years

Green should never have offered the fight to Briggs in the first place.

 

Would have done Briggsy a fine lot of good Billy throwing the towel in after his already damaged head got further smashed.

The fact that a pissy little jab decked Briggs shows anything meaningful might've bloody killed him!

Billy 'helping the fight go ahead' as you put it, puts him in a very awkward position when it comes time for those involved to front up and face the questions and the inevitable repercussions.

 

Great post Jet , Green is now to be found in the "Pond dweller " Section when it comes to my take on boxing history , Fair enough he did win a legit quarter section of the Light heavyweight title but really the fella has done nothing but beat up has been and wannabe blokes since, he got what he deserved v Briggs Imo the "Boxing Terrorist" got blown up when the **** bomb he was working on detonated in his own face . :-(

 

Of course Green knew what sort of condition Briggs was in

1. The NSW Boxing authority wouldn't allow the fight
2. Jeff Fenech who was training Briggs gave a full page article of Pauls condition in a major newspaper.

What part of Green not knowing how fuxcked up Briggs was don't you understand??

Green think's he's bigger than the sport and his ego took over.

Both camps are human ****ing garbage!

Green and Hyder, at a minimum, knew that Briggs was in no shape to proceed with the fight yet they chose to look the other way in the interests of a payday and another name on Green's dubious legacy.

Briggs and Hussain perpetrated a fraud on the paying public by spinning a line of **** in the lead-up then taking a dive at the first available opportunity. It was a cynical and deceitful con job!

To put it bluntly, the four of them are ****s!
