IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green has no interest in facing the WBO's top rated boxer, Denis Lebedev. After Lebedev knocked out Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday night in Moscow, the Russian boxer and his trainer, Kostya Tszyu, challenged Green to a fight. Green returns on July 20th in Sydney to defend his title against former champion Antonio Tarver. He downplayed the recent win by Lebedev, stating that it took the big puncher ten rounds to get the job done. Green stopped Jones in the first round in 2009. Green wants to beat Tarver and then wants to target a fight with WBC/IBO champion light heavyweight Bernard Hopkins.

    Man I hate Green

So It looks like he is shitting himself over a possible show down with Lebedev and would rather fight a 46 year old LHW.

I would recommend Danny does not go after Bernard .

Even if he somehow beat Hopkins ,It would always be a lose/Lose situation .

He should go after a Young Lion Like Cloud or Pascal ,Maybe even Dawson .

hes not gonna beat Tarver, so I dont think he should be looking past him. tarver is gonna take him to school. hes another fighter whose good fundamentals will serve him well even though hes old. green is strong but basic and been inactive.

no worries! yeah it will be an interesting one green is huge down here in australia theyre doing a promotional tour at the moment, tarvers coming off as an extremely nice guy also to tell the truth. I agree that stylistically tarver will be difficult, i dont think green can win a decision easily , he will have to try and do whats never been done and knock him out.

Hopkins wins this mismatch even if they fought. Green needs to win a major title before challenging a man of Hopkins statue.

Nobody outside AUS cares what Danny Green wants or says, and he'll become even less relevant and able to make serious call-outs once Milkdud goes and boxes his ears off. :D
