Hello there, I am a middle aged female from New Zealand. I have been here more than 20 years and happily stayed a KIWI. After watching the fabulous Danny Green fight and speak the other night I have decided to take up Australian Citizenship. He made me want to be a proud Aussie. Great job fighting and even better job with your speeches. A true gentleman. Kirsty NSW.:happy
That's great, but Danny Green isn't even close to legend status. May'be in Australia he is, but Boxing as whole he isn't a legend, and he beat a shell of a legend.
Roy Jones is my favorite fighter of all time. I'm disappointed Green put him out to pasture like that, but I think Green is all class, and if he can unite australians to love the sport, all the better. Oh, and glad to hear you're still a proud KIWI at heart. It's tops on my list of places I need to see before I die: This content is protected
Before this fight I never even heard of Danny Green. Jones been washed up, so beating him now really doesn't count for much. When Mcbride beat Tyson it didn't make him a legend or a great fighter. It was just another win added on his record.
Danny is a solid fighter but this fight doesnt mean that much. He had some other good performances - Green V Lucus, Green V Beyer 1, Green V Drews that better show his potential.
HEY LUV...i am an aussie and a green fan but green isnt legend status ....not even close yet. Good, solid, exciting, heaps of potential but in real boxing terms legend ....no, not yet
LEGEND can simply be a compliment coming from a Kiwi or an Aussie. "I bought a case of beer cause I knew we were running out..." "You ****in' legend!"
Plenty picked Roy to win, they will be the ones saying he is shot and finished, just like when Tarver sparked him.
