This is the link. I've fired off a question but not sure it's going to get through..... i had to be semi nice so the moderator accepts it http://blogs.news.com.au/dailyteleg...ytelegraph/comments/danny_greens_boxing_blog/
i think dannys answers are for the most part pretty sensible and informative without giving too much away in that, he states that all the bs people are saying eg holyfield never came out of his mouth and the hw option is not really on his mind, no need for people to write abusive or meaningless comments what sort of reaction do they expect to get from him?
they must be kidding if they want to take on David Haye. They have to be realistic....are they serious??
hha david haye or adamek would send green into retirement.wonder why green forgets to mention those two in his list of possible fights????????????????????????????????they are in their prime and way too good for him[and by the way if he thinks hes not naturally big enough to fight at heavyweight neither were them pair].:!:
The other guy Green (or should I say Hyder) never calls out is Chad Dawson. Hyder seems to think that we're still in the late 90s when he says the likes of Holyfield and Tyson are fights "that the world would want to see."
Beaver i stopped reading after the first reply from JD of Canberra.who said Mundine is scared that you will knock him out again and Danny didnt correct. himatsch where is your question?
a bit of selective memory mate.but you're from Perth so i will forgive you.you and some others seem to think that anyone who hates Danny must be a Mundine hugger.im not i supported Danny but hes a bigger ****wit than Mundine now.look at this response. Gday Terry Legg, He beat me because he hit me more times than I hit him. Theres been a lot of talk that we should fight at a weight that suits me better. Lets see what the result is if we fight at a weight that suits me. Ill monster him into retirement and he knows that, hence the reason he doesnt want to fight. Danny Green Fri 16 Apr 10 (12:15pm) thats what he says now.but back when they fought. http://www.dannygreen.com.au/news.php?news=graceindefeat The latest news on Danny Green Green Enhanced by Grace in Defeat Brent Read - May 18, 2006 DANNY GREEN lost the fight but enhanced his reputation as one of the class acts of Australian boxing last night by humbly accepting defeat and paying tribute to conqueror Anthony Mundine. On a night almost certain to enter Australia's boxing folklore, Green was comprehensively beaten as the arch enemies collided before a crowd of more than 30,000 at Aussie Stadium. The fight more than matched its pre-bout billing as Mundine took a unanimous decision to set up a title fight with WBA super-middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler, who scored a points decision over him in August last year. Green's future is now in limbo, with a lucrative rematch likely to be pursued by the West Australian as he attempts to get his career back on track. Green fought back tears after the fight but paid tribute to Mundine as he spoke immediately following the decision. "To Anthony Mundine, a lot has been said in the past, he fought the best fight tonight," Green said. "I trained unbelievable, my preparation was great. I had no howed great skill. I'm not going to take anything awayexcuses other than Anthony was a better man tonight. He s from Choc (Mundine). I got beaten by a better man tonight." Green, 33, came into the fight with a record of 21 wins in 23 fights, his two previous losses coming in world title fights against German WBC champion Markus Beyer. He was also armed with one of the fight game's most astute trainers, Cuban Ismael Salas. Green and his entourage entered the ring to the tunes of Men at Work's "Land Down Under" and, surprisingly, enjoyed a majority of support from the large crowd, despite Mundine being the local fighter. Most believed Green would need a knockout to beat Mundine and it panned out that way. Green's best work came early in the fight but he struggled to keep out Mundine's right hand as the fight progressed, leaving him trailing heavily on points as the bout entered the late rounds. His best moments came when he managed to isolate Mundine on the ropes, something that happened less and less as the fight progressed. Blood started to dribble from Green's nose and swelling began to appear around his eyes as early as the fourth round, as Mundine started to dominate the fight with his piston-like jab and potent right hand. By round six Mundine's power was beginning to show signs of rattling Green. Green, whose power was expected to be his key to victory, started looking for a fight-ending punch as the bout entered the final few rounds but it was to no avail, his desperation leading to referee Terry O'Connor warning Green for a low blow in round nine. By round 11 Green went forlornly searching for a knockout, loading up his right hand but instead catching blows as Mundine smartly avoided his opponent's heavy artillery. A pair of Mundine rights, including one towards the end of the round had Green in trouble. Round 12 was more of the same, Mundine's sharp skills leaving Green swinging at air. to Anthony Mundine no excuses, prep was great,i was beaten by the better man.and now this.still hes made alot more money than his skills say he should.money made off Mundines hatred by the public spends the same as anyone elses.got to give him credit for that.:thumbsup
