this is ****ing moronic... i have asked 3 or 4 educated and articulate questions and nothing. The only questions he is answering is **** like "why did you act like a caveman?" and "who are you?"

 

In all fairness to him Id be guessing they are being bombarded with questions

If we can come to terms and both parties are happy then of course we'd like to do it in Perth. But I really want to go to America and fight him in his back yard so I can concentrate solely on winning a fight.

DG: I'm always going to try and bring the big fights to Australia. I did it with Jones, I did it with Tarver, and though Stipe Drews wasn't as big a name, i brought a world champion to Australia. Obvioulsy my intention is to rematch Antonio and if that can't happen I guess we'll look at another big fight.

DG: Thanks X-man. In all the lead-up and promotion, and promotional tour and the fight, I constantly told people this was going to be the hardest fight of my career. This proved to be true and then some. At no stage did we ever underestimate him and he's now a five-time wolrd champion. My preparation was pretty good so I wouldn't change a hell of a lot, apart from not having external pressures bearing down on me with the promotion.

DG: Mate, that's what makes this sport so entertaining. If I thought I was going to get the same flogging I did in the first one I'm almost that silly but not quite silly enough to enteratin the idea of copping it again. I think people would be very interested in a rematch but that's not my concern, my concern is winning the fight and getting my title back.

Hi Danny, firstly let me say well done on a great career.... my question was were you 100% going into the Tarver fight and are you really ever 100% going into any fight? You did look a little out of sorts almost from the start of the Tarver bout and never really seemed to get your composure. Was something up?? Cheers.

DG: Thanks very much John, much appreciated. I would never make any excuses for losing a fight rather than I wasn't good enough on the night. You are right mate, from the get-go I didn't feel "on" and up until round six I was struggling badly. Round two was a knockout punch and the fight would have been stopped there and then for a lot of other fighters, but my chin stood up and I was able to stay in it. Round seven I hurt him a couple of times and mentally and physically I felt that I could pull out a fairytalye Rocky ending. Round eight was fairly even, round nine was going pretty well for me until 25 seconds to go he landed a very powerful, clean shot and then I took close to 20 unanswered blows which left me fairly stuffed. Obviously I wanted to continue but that's what any decent fighter would do. But I respect my brother Brendan and trainer Angelo's decision to call it quits.

danny, if u win against tarver who will u chase? will u fight huck, cunningham, lebedev or diablo? i have heard all are willing (bar huck) to travel to aus for a fraction of wat it cost to get tarver here. all are legitimate champions/ contenders. and will more then lickely create a bigger buzz then flores/ ciaca/ briggs. seems like a win win to me the fans are happy and u get ur shot at a highly respected title or in lebedevs case beat a highly regarded contender. i also heard a while ago that chad dawson was keen to fight u here, are u interested in matching him? i know he is a lhw but with the weight stipulation normally involved with ur fights i can see u two meeting at a w8 that is comfortable to both. cheers.

DG: No I wasn't surprised at all and I knew him stepping up to cruiserweight after a decade at light-heavy was going to be advantageous to his power.

DG: Thanks Albie. The caveman stuff wasn't an attempt to sell anything, it was my way to have a bit of fun and and try to ease the pressure and stress involved in such a big promotion. That said, having the load of the promotion in our backyard did prove to be a distraction.

DG: The same paying customers go to the footy, cricket, soccer, the rugby and are in all other facets of society, not just boxing. It's funny how boxing always gets such a bad rap and the people who go to the fights, but look at the governments in the world and the white-collar criminals they all affilliate with, which really pales into comparison to the people I guess you are talking about.

He was just asked about the shitty IBO ...he response: It doesn't matter what the belt is, it's the fighter who owns the belt and who is putting on the big fights. Myself versus Tarver had worldwide recognition, the same when I defended against Roy Jones. I won the WBA belt against Stipe Drews but universally it didn't make a lot of noise. The WBC belt I won in 03 against Canadian Eric Lucas made some noise because he'd defended his belt three times in America.Ive asked a couple 1) after the flogging would there be any interest : his response thats not my concern just to win the fight .2) will you take a pay cut to fight in the states : his response I dont no any one who works for free blah blah blah...............
