Maybe the reason for him not wanting to promote the rematch is because they lost cash on the promotion?
I don't think there's anyway they could pay Tarver that sort of coin again and now that Tarver is the champ i can't see him taking a pay cut either.

Green might have lost money on the first fight, i doubt it though. But its a hell of a lot easier for him to use promotional issues as an excuse not to rematch the guy who kicked the **** out of him.

 

There was a lot of empty seats that night and from what i hear ppv sales were down too so you can't blame GMB being a bit shy about promoting the fight.
If Tarver takes a pay cut then the fight could happen here but Danny would prefer the fight be in the states.
They took a massive risk getting rjj out here and it paid off big time financially however this time it didn't work out as well.

He was interviewed this morning on 'Weekend Sunrise' and clearly stated "that he wanted to go to Antonio's backyard and win my title back."

This rematch ain't happening anywhere. It won't happen in the USA and Danny will claim Antonio didn't want the rematch and he'll then continue to put shows on back in Perth.

Why the **** would he want to get hammered again? Danny's smarter than that for ****s sake! Easy pickings back here at catchweights against selected opponents.

Have to agree with you francis , Green will say he is a no name and wont sell . Danny's is smart and is just milking the public again into thinking he wants a rematch and he then can bag tarver for ducking him. He will then fight cameron and say he's still wants the tarver fight. It looks like the circus is over and green should retire IMO. Just goes to show that even with a big name and great undercard , redneck following there is no garantee of making big $$$$.

Lets make one thing clear here, DANNY GREEN DID NOT LOOSE MONEY ON THE TARVER FIGHT! You seem to know everything else about Danny but fail to mention this FACT. He made around 1 million dollars from the Tarver fight so take your bullsht rubish story and **** it in someone elses pocket.

The RJJ fight he made a tone, got backing from the goverment etc so again more rubish from your mouth to make DannyBoy look like a Saint! :rofl

He has used the media to pump himself back up, he hasnt learnt a thing, if he had then he would get his ass down to LHW and do it properly, he is now using Tarvers name to sell another fight and it wont be against Tarver he has made that pretty clear, its only the nuffy Green fans that are confused.

he gets one of the greatest fighters in history in jones jnr, NOBODY AT ALL gave him a chance of winning, and jones was apparently going to make green look like an idiot and wouldn't land a punch over 12 rounds, yet green is milking the public ffs.

yes he has fought some bums, but so has virtually every other aussie boxer, and green hasn't forced any of u or the public to watch these fights.

if u despise him so much, why watch him fight if he is fighting inadequate opposition.

He has a credible belt,BJ Flores wasn't a name and had only fought 2 CW's in the top 50. Green should take up Wlodacryzx's offer. He would come over for a 1/3 of what Tarver did and it's his best shot at another World Title.

Danny wont fight anyone with half a pulse, they thought Tarver was shot! plain and simple, they went off his last fight and anyone who watched that had the opnion Tarver was shot.

RJJ was also shot and had been knocked out by other fighters prior to Danny, no one gave Danny a chance i will admit that but no one also thought he would use loaded wraps either.

Dannys a manipulating ***** and always will be, his fans are blind muppetts who think we all have a soft part on our skulls! nuff said hahah
