Green beating Roy Jones at that stage of Roy's career didn't mean much unless Danny's fans deep down thought Danny was totally **** and wouldn't have been able to impose himself on a shell of a once great fighter. It's the same as you wouldn't give a heavyweight today much credit for beating Evander Holyfield.

 

Buster you forgot to mention he also promoted a fight with a brain damaged briggs who hadnt fought for 3 years and a fat semi retired middle/SMW in siacca. Please tell me how is gets any credit for these 2 sham fights? Not to mention his sly dannyweight restrictions. probably not the best analogy, most of the **** talk has come from hyder, with a little coming from green himself. I think this loss has humbled him though, im not sure he will either but if the tarver fight doesnt come off i can see him aiming for a belt, if i was him id aim for guillermo jones , he holds some sort of belt i think.

 

Imo at this stage of his career and after a very bad beating if Green can't make 175 then he should just have 1 or 2 fights against Montell Griffin types at 185 on home soil then call it quits. He can't compete with the true champs at 200. Who agrees / disagrees ?

 

agree. If he could make it down to lhw i think he would have tried another run at that, hes stuck in a limbo. It is quite a large disparity between lhw and cruiser considering the small amounts between some of the lower weights. And the fact that a large proportion of males would be between 80 and 85kgs, dannyweight is a pretty good fighting weight imo. not that the sport needs anymore filtering.
I wonder if chad dawson loses to b hop if danny would try and bring someone like that out and get him to come up to dannyweight?

 

Yeah I don't think he can make 175 in a healthy state anymore at this stage. I'm sorry but I think someone as skilled as Chad Dawson would make Green look silly at any weight. I'm predicting Dawson to outpoint Bhop.
