I don't know if it's because I'm not australian but when you were writing this did you think this was funny? I think line dancing put downs and dance hall crack went lame about the time of the wall street crash.
So no answers to my questions, just this defensive move? Have a good sook about it Flash, I'm no tough guy, see how you try to bring it down to that level? I guess the next step is you hope I challenge to you a blue, then you can show me who is right and who is wrong eh? Seriously mate, you're acting like a child here "I would like to say sorry for sticking up for my friend Anthony Mundine" :| If you're going to post on an internet forum championing a bloke who many people feel is a bull**** artist and who has not taken a challenge in 3 years - the closest being a bloke he ran from a rematch with - then you should be able to take the bad with the good. PS - in today's paper Siaca says he started boxing at LHW and has fought most of his career there, so maybe it was your friend Anthony Mundine who was in the wrong by making him fight at SMW, a weight clearly below his preferred one? Stick that in your pipe and smoke it Jeff "Yes Ma'am" Malcolm :yep
Mate you could be right, they are non existent I have really focussed on the top lip............... it needs botox asap
Well 20odd, if you firmly believe that there is any real substance in Choc being "2 divisional World Champion" in the true sense of the words, We're at odds with what is real & what is not. "Do you believe that to be a world class boxer you need to have be a KO artist?" No, you don't have to be to be a "World class" boxer, but that has many interpretations. Many of the lighter weight fighters are not. "World class" can just mean that you're rated by some Org. There are very few real world champions that held a title for very long even if they did make it, without being able to starch an opponent. The operative word here mate is REAL. Move away from that & you'll never lose debate.
I just stated in the other thread that the winner of choc v ??? for the WBA world title is the real champ at 160....Sturm should have been stripped for not fighting his mandatory :deal If you talk about things being real and fair then Sturm should be gone.....I dont think Sturm will fight again at 160 anyway....hes going to be in court for 18 months
You'll never get an argument from me regarding fighting for REAL titles Ash - like Tony Snr when he took on Monzon in Buenos Aires - beat the 'real' champ to become the 'real' champ! Sad reality though is that boxing just gets watered down more each generation because of the proliferation of organisations, titles and the more and more rediculous interpretations of what constitutes world champion status.
Yeah I know....we cant change that now....money will make sure of that. We will see more titles coming up for sure...but for now mate the WBA has a world title fight at MW.....if choc wins he will be called the WBA MW world champ :deal Not comparing choc with past greats at all.....or how boxing used to be run.......just calling it how it is today.......in 2010 choc will be MR 4 time :hey
Fair call Ash. If there's no champ above them, no champ in recess and it's not for the interim title...
Sturm is Super champ as are 6 other fighters in the WBA.....fact is right or wrong the winner will have the WBA MW World title belt :deal I know you dont like it but its a fact.....am I saying hes the best in the world...no....but fact is he will have the belt and be recorded as holding the belt. I hope he gets a shot at Sylvester and wins so he can put the "not beating a champ" thing to bed :yep Then he can go on and flog Pavlik and unify
I'll shock you and say I hope he wins - I think... ...and yeah, it'll make him a 2010 version of a world champion. (The Super Champ concept is okay in isolation - but the concept of crowning a world champ under a Super Champ is absolute frog****!)
