Well its just everyone knew it would happen, so there's no reason to be all shocked and bitter about it. Regardless if they are multi-millionaires, who wouldn't chase another pay day if they could? I do however agree its somewhat shallow on Green's behalf to do the whole 'retirement' thing and to then come out, but I don't really have a problem with the fight itself.

Josey, no need to call me a vagina! Just an opinion mate ;)

If this is true Green is no better than Mundine, he just smiles more. The " retirement "was clearly just to promote the book. I hope it's not true. At least with Mundine you may not like it , but what you see is what you get.

I don't really have a problem with this fight, it's the first live opponent they've both had since the first fight.
It's better than fighting Argie tomato cans.

Neither boxer can draw the big names OS's, and I think this could be an interesting match if Green plays it a bit smarter this time.

The only problem is Greens idiotic retirement/comeback, however all boxers make stupid moves at some stage.

    Rick.

What you all ****ing on about ? this is **** news for boxing and its fans , Green is a solid bloke but this stinks ho high heaven . What sort of Champion retires then comes back within 3 months FFS ? im starting to think it was the fear of fighting a proper L/heavy that prompted the bull**** retirement , man Danny has gone down heaps in my book , infact im gutted he's done this . ok your a long time retired but what a shithouse round about way of doing things . WAS THIS HIS INTENTION ALL ALONG ? I reckon it was .

I don't think it was his intention all along to be honest. I think he'd had enough. I'd imagine that Mundine's crew figured that a return with Green would certainly happen somewhere down the line. All of a sudden, he retired, taking with him Anthony's biggest pay day opportunity.

Mundine's crew obviously offered him huge money to get him back. From a strictly business point of view, it's probably very smart negotiating by Green, when you think about it.

I'm not so sure this fight will happen.
Just because his manager says he should consider it, does not mean he will take it. at the end of the day, Danny decided to retire, his manager didn't.....

I think quite a few people will lose alot of respect for Green should this fight happen.

Choc was all ready to go ahead with his move down to middleweight because Green had decided to "plan for his childrens future."

Now Green decides that he wants to have his rematch...after he's gone up to lightheavy !!!

Green already cried about it being to tough at super middleweight so if this fight were to go ahead it would have to be close to the LH limit. By waiting until Mundine worked his way down in weight gives Green a big advantage. Maybe he'd like to wear head gear too.

Is it possible that Green retired so if he loses to Choc again he won't suffer the indignity of losing his World Light Heavyweight title? All that bull**** he rambled on about after beating the ATG Stipe Drews, how he was a "real world champ"

You could imagine Green's embarrassment at losing his real world title to Mundine. Better just to fight for pride...and money.

    Maybe another book deal?

He could call it Open Arsed Closed and Battered Eyes.

BTW, the fight is not yet a done deal although the whispers have become quite loud around town.

That said, it would throw Choc's short term plans into disaray.
